WTF!
Mir had knee surgery this week. Officially UFC still haven't cancelled.
That's because Mir hasnt pulled out. So much for this epic scoop. More like epic fail.

If Mir drops, this could turn out to be way worse for Lesnar IMO.

The bottom line right now is that Mir doesn't want to fight in May but the fight hasn't officially been called off. UFC can't make injured fighters fight though and if they put the pressure on him, it's an excuse for Mir if he loses and taints any Lesnar win.
They are announcing something on the show tonight regarding it. I'd assume they are announcing a new main event or why go to the bother of saying they will address it on TV at all?
I kind of want to see them go ahead and make Machida vs Evans

I'd love to see Lesnar vs the winner of Gonzaga/Carwin but it seems like it might be too soon to get into another fight for those guys if it's in May.
My money is on Cheick Kongo getting a title shot if Lesnar is fighting in May still. Maybe Junior Dos Santos has an outside chance of getting a shot too.

Kongo didn't want anything to do with Lesnar before he had the belt. Now he does.
And although it's debatable how much impact it will have, it's the best kept secret in MMA right now that the Wolfslair gym are bringing it a bunch of massive eastern european wrestlers to work with. Some people are gonna be suprised since Euro's are meant to have really shitty wrestling skills.
Fight has been rescheduled for UFC 100.
Evans vs. Rampage now main events 98.
Now it's official.
Rectal, what were you saying about epic fails again?

funny, considering England does have the UWF Snake Pit, which is a Catch Wrestling Academy.

I'll fight Brock Lesnar for $50k. That is how much they get paid in a fight, right? I'm pretty sure I could take him.

1 - Nobody is fighting Brock Lesnar for $50k. Lesnar ain't even getting out of bed for that kind of money.
2 - Lesnar would eat you alive. Literally put your body between two slices of bread and get to chompin'.

I would take a dive for 50k.
Plus, nobody mentioned Brock getting out of bed for 50k, just whoever he is pounding with his frying pan hand.
For 100k in cash, I'd fight Brock or Fedor. I'd get killed but at least my daughter could buy a house or something when she gets older.

If I was an accomplished fighter I wouldn't fight for 50k either. You get what maybe 3 fights a year? at best.

How could you be an accomplished fighter without fighting for less the 50k? And if you don't believe the big name fightes make just 50k per fight do you? Ortiz, Liddell and Couture have all made more than $3 million in one fight at one time. GSP, Penn, Rampage, Anderson Silva and Wanderlai Silva to name a few have all cleared a minimum of 750k in one night too. This is UFC payment alone. No sponsors or anything.
