I was browsing through youtube for some good matches this afternoon, and after watching Eddie vs Ultimo Dragon, I got the link to the Eddie Guerrero RAW episode.

A great RAW by all accounts, but the Rey / Shawn match up was just amazing.

Now I know Rey seems to be TPWW's most hated masked midget, but the chemistry he has with HBK is great to see. I know HBK can wrestle a broom and make it look good, but either way, a great match is a great match!

I don't hate Rey, and I don't know why people do.

Yea, he can be a bit stale doing the same thing an being a super-face all the time, but that doesn't mean he sucks. He moves far too much merchandise for them to change him.
He can still have great matches, or be an element of great matches.
Also, I don't resent his title win. I think it's actually kinda cool. It proves that literally ANYTHING can happen if you're over.
The way it panned out afterwards did stink, but what are you gonna do.

I don't hold any of that against him. What was he supposed to do? "No Vince, don't put the title on me, it isn't believable. I quit"
I don't think so.

I hate Rey because he is a midget and looks like a clown against bigger wrestlers who he is always against lately. Plus he is awful at selling.

Rey has been one of the finest in ring performers in the WWE. I don't hate him at all. It's just that he makes Kane job and that makes me sad.

I have no respect for the man.

For me, it's all about tradition. Rey pissed on tradition by putting the mask back on.

Rey is one of the most underrated superstars I believe. I think it is Vince's fault because how weak he made him look during his title reign

Tradition doesn't pay the bills.

true.

Then again, maybe I should be more upset with Vince for making him put it back on?

I don't know. At least my hatred has some sort of logical basis?

Let's be realistic here, anywhere he went he was going to put the mask back on eventually.

More than that, he wouldn't still be a WWE performer if he hadn't put the mask back on. The only reason he's around is he moves merchandise.

Big time. The quality replicas of his masks retailed at $100 a pop and they were selling like hotcakes. He has made mad coin for the WWE.

Rey Mysterio is a very good worker. He's far from one of my favourites, but to deny that the man is immensely talented is a bit of a stretch for anybody. His World Heavyweight Title reign was poorly done, but that was hardly Rey's fault. On paper, he is one of the more impressive WWE Superstars of all-time, and if it had just been Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 22, I think things would have gone a lot smoother.

I'd love to see Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels work a program based on HBK being the smallest man to have ever won the WWE Championship, and Rey Mysterio being the smallest man to have won the World Heavyweight Championship. Both can lay claim to having more skill per pound than any other competitor in WWE history. A feud between the two could be immensely interesting.
