When he got drafted to Smackdown they said that he was a former WCW manager. Is that true?

Yes; A BIG yes.

Teddy is one of the best known managers ever, and definitely
one of the best from the 1980's/early 1990's.Also,since I had
to re-align my post; back in the 1980's Teddy managed "The
Skyscrapers" (Undertaker; Danny Spivey; Sid Vicious) and a
whole host of others.

During the 90's,he managed guys like Ice Train,Bobby Walker,
Jim Powers,Scott Norton,and others...

Not a problem :y:

Also,IIRC,he was also the manager of Sgt.Craig "The Pitbull" Pittman
& "Jumping" Joey Maggs; and he was one of the managers of DOOM
(Ron "Faarooq" Simmons & "The Natural" Butch Reed)....

Theodore Long also managed Mike Shaw, aka Norman the Lunatic. He was carrying a big gold key around his neck.

Teddy Long was also a ref in the 80's..

A darn good ref too; probably one of the better remembered ones of
the 1980's. He also worked as a ref for WWE for quite a while before
he was given his managerial role.

I'd absolutely love 2 see Theodore Long be a Special Guest Referree in his final match interaction with WWE (which hopefully won't be for a very long time; he's got damn great microphone skills, and I'd love to see him "Battle Rap" against John Cena, or try to out-trash talk The Rock...that would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HILARIOUS!), and also a chance for him to say a proper good-bye.
