View Full Version : Is now the best time for smaller talented wrestlers in WWE?

The way that things are now, all of the current Champions aren't these massive Colossus type guys. Orton is by no means small but he isn't a Batista, a Triple H, a Cena, or a Big Show by any means. Is now the best time for small or normal looking guys to succeed? There has been an upsurge of guys that aren't larger than life in the main event and midcard scenes here

Edge
Jericho
Christian
Orton
Matt Hardy
Jeff Hardy
CM Punk
Morrison
Shelton
MVP
Miz
Mysterio
Bourne

(I'm aware that alot of these guys aren't small but they aren't MONSTERS or bulked out of their minds)

Do you think think that this is going to ring true in the future? Will many future main eventers be smaller guys? Is WWE slowly straying away from the "6'6 250lbs or above rule" or will larger guys slowly take the main event back? Also, do smaller guys in developmental have a better chance in this current WWE climate?

I think its hard to say..... look at Swagger... he was brought up from developmental and surely fits the 6'6'' over 250 rule.... its pretty much all up to the front office.... the fans (mostly kids) will cheer/boo whoever WWE wants them to, and the smart marks will continue to like the guys who can get it done in the ring.... to satisfy both, it would be most intelligent to give the smaller guys (Morrison, Benjamin, Christian, Rey, Bourne, etc.) a chance to carry the ball in the main event..... but will it happen? It should, but I wouldn't put money on it

I think it is, but I don't think it is time to be a big guy in the business, either. I think it's starting to come down more to reliability, and who the company can really trust to be around for the next year's WrestleMania.

Yeah, they really need to avoid letting something like this happen again.

Cena still wins, HHH is still "The Game," and Batista's cheat code still works.

Normal people do not look like Morrison.

That's besides the point. He isn't what you would consider large in the WWE universe.

Yeah it's so funny how we don't consider guys like Morrison, Jericho, Edge and Orton jacked... fuck if I saw any of those guys in a gym or in person, pushing 300 plus pounds on the bench press with relative ease, I'd be like "holy fuck that guy is jacked." Just, they don't look like ludicrous roid monkies (and we all know most of those guys have dabbled in the juice) so somehow we don't consider them as such. These guys are fucking huge... just not "larger than life" I guess.

I mean fuck Steamboat was about 240 pounds in his prime, that is fucking massive, and he was not exactly known for being a big guy.

Who said Morrison was a mere mortal???

If I were a woman, I'd be all over Morrison's cock. Just saying.
