Ok, first I suck at art... let's make that clear... I can change light on a photo and thats about it.

What I need to do is design a 1 page ad, nothing fancy, it will have text and some pictures and some type of nice background.

then save it as a .jpg, so I can then upload it and post it on websites as an ad.

Also, it can't be too crazy because if it takes long to load no one will view it.

any help/ideas preferable ones that wont cost me an expensive software?

Get GIMP.

If you really need help, I could do it for you.

I downloaded Gimp.... but when I create something an go to save it, I couldn't find the option to save it as a jpeg...

Just name the file (whatever).jpg

That should take care of it.

figured it out, it exports it into a jpeg since a jpg can't handle layers.

thanks!

now i'll play around and see what I can come up with!
