View Full Version : Total Nonstop Action Wrestling Post-PPV Discussion (TNA Slammiversary VII) [SPOILERS]

Discuss what you believe to be the fallout from TNA's 7th birthday blowout that was held on PPV.

Why did Samoa Joe give Angle the TNA World Title?
Why did Kurt Angle turn into Randy Couture?
Why did Mick Foley wear Tweet on his tights?
Why does Mike Tenay still have a job?

THIS AND MORE!

HOW BIZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARE!

When Joe said "we will celebrate tonight" and Angle said the same thing, I was like how crazy would it be if these two were plotting something together and Joe turns heel. But then I was like nah that would be kind of crazy.

I was hopping Kurt was skinny and looking like shit cause he was quiting the pain killers, but apparently his eyes were pinned in some recent interview.

He complained about vince not giving him time to get off them, man was he wrong and set some bridges on fire when leaving.

So much for Taz being his advisor!

I actually like Kurt Angle being Samoa Joe's adviser. I can't imagine anyone else really adding up to a big enough reveal. Angle and Joe have history that could very easily be explained as "respect." Plus, this shit with The Main Event Mafia needs to get somewhere and fast. I am hoping that Matt Morgan joins up with Angle and Joe very soon.

Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles for the TNA Legends Championship would be a hot match, as well. TNA have pretty much made Joe uninteresting as a face for the company, so maybe as a heel he can regain some momentum?

Yeh, the Joe helping Angle thing really came out of nowhere for me, and 9 times out of 10, I can see things developing. This was the "1" I never saw coming.

About Angle's hair, I believe he's growing for an upcoming movie, or so that's the rumor I hear.

I really want to see The Nation of Violence develop to being Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan and Eric Young. All of those men just have stories that would fit together so nicely right now. Young can take out Jeff Jarrett (who is apparently hurt, or so rumours have been saying, apparently), Morgan can take out Sting, and Joe has already taken out Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Booker T.

Give the veterans a rest for a while, and let the NoV soak up some heat and run wild for a while, with AJ Styles, Daniels and Mick Foley standing up to them. Let's face it -- Foley is entertaining no matter what role he is playing, but the dude just doesn't seem like a heel.

Not a big fan of Joe, but I do like him better as a heel so I'm happy about the turn. I'm hoping this actually makes this MEM stuff actually go somewhere now.

I took a bunch of pics at the show, so will put up a few right now. I would say it was definitely worth the $7, lol.

didn't see the Joe Angle coming.... guess Taz (note the non-double 'z') will be replacing Don West on commentary....also very glad to see Raven in the ring again..... one of the smartest guys in the business.

Definitely think that this should be the start of a new group, and not the furthering of the Main Event Mafia. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan and Eric Young would fucking rule as a heel unit.

Really good PPV IMO.

Hell of a lot better than 'Night of Extreme Rules'.

I really didn't see the Joe Angle coming, I thought Jarrett was gonna be winning the K.O.T.M once again, and every other prediction I'd made on the outcome of matches was right.

This could go somewhere interesting. I was surprised to see the MEM at the end, I thought it would have been a new stable forming, as 'Noid said, although I wouldn't have guessed Eric Young.

I don't really get the anti-TNA bandwagon on TPDUB, sure, it's far from perfect and there's plenty of faults, but I don't see why it's any worse than PGWWE? Personally I've been preferring the TNA product to the WWE product lately, by quite a way.

I prefer TNA to RAW, I'll give them that much. The reason I would have suggested Eric Young for the group, is that he's got his new meanstreak on the go, and he's a TNA talent that the company seems interested in pushing. Samoa Joe also once chose Eric Young to be his partner in a big main event match, so it would make sense, in a throwback sort of way -- "Samoa Joe understood that I was better than the joke Jeff Jarrett thought I was."

Given the history between Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan, and the potential Morgan has, those two also make sense as buddies. Angle leading a heel group consisting of himself (TNA World Champion), Samoa Joe (Legends Champion), Matt Morgan (Enforcer) and Eric Young (X-Division Champion) could have been very cool.

But ah well, what can you do?

Samoa Joe said he did it for the money. But now the "Godfather" of the Main Evnt Mafia, Sting, Was Taken Out By The TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Booker T and The New Main Event Mafia People: Samoa Joe & Matt Morgan

I love that TNA is pushing Matt Morgan. The guy is money, in my opinion. For a big guy, he can work. He looks impressive as hell, physically, and he can cut a promo.
