Booker T is very happy with his current main event level push on Smackdown, but is still telling friends that he will retire soon. He has been fighting with back problems for awhile now and many believe that once his back starts to bother him heavily again, he will retire.

Damn. Not my favorite or anything, but Booker's entertained me numerous times. Hope he retires happily, and hope his back ends up all right.

I thought he was leaving this year anyway once his contract is up?

I dunno about that but he has been saying almost since he got to WWE that he won't be doing it for much longer.

Maybe he can get a title run towards the end of this year before he leaves. He definitely deserves it.

Hopefully SD gets a few more upper-level heels established or back from injury before he decides to sail into the sunset.

I thought he might stay around longer since he is probably going to get a considerable push on Smackdown.

This was in the Calgary Sun back in January, the writer was saying on how he has been considering retirement for a year now, and that he probably would after Wrestlemania.

I actually remember reading something about it back in October when he Made his return. He wanted 2004 to be his last year because of inuries and I think he has a injury still bugging him. I remember reading that he wanted 1 last title run before his retirement. So him being on a show where He is the Main event Heel is a Good shot for him.

I'm sure he also wants time to patch up his relationship with his teenage son. (I'm serious, in case you couldn't tell)
