I've been silently sitting back and been progressively annoyed at this, but this one really is the last straw for me. Can't believe this.

From PWInsider:

Dion Morroy sent this item. ... WWE Classics 24/7 On Demand is now editing any match that has blood in it. They turn the match black and white when blood is shown.

I know the whole family-friendly bit is just a ploy to pick up as many fans along the way as possible. But I think it's definitely gotten to the point of serious BS now. I hope Vince croaks soon and that way Shane or Steph can step in and be like, alright guys, we're going back where we've hardly ever been before in the last few years, to the land of TV-M! (Wishful thinking, I know, but since the divas have really ramped up their game in the past several years, even in the face of such major departures as Lita, Trish, and "Tara" in TNA (Victoria in WWE, now the current TNA KO's champion apparently...), they should do this at the very least to allow at least a tiny bit of blood, and maybe the diva's being able to at times show a bit more skin. It would be a double-win situation, that's for sure.)

THIS IS WHY LINDA MCMAHON IS A GOD DAMN CUNT BAG!!!!!!!!!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I have notes about this at work (got kinda bored) and I'm blaming Linda for this tv-pg-bs. She's using WWE as a stepping stone to the state board of education in CT, but can't do it if they have bad words, sexually charged storylines, or blood. If she were to assocaite herself with a company like that then she wouldn't get voted onto the school board.
Vince is the crazy bastard who let a porn star wrestle a pervert over his ex wife. He let his top bad guy fuck a corpse in a mask. There have been beer baths, blood baths, middle fingers, midgets, lesbains, gun related violence, and more under Vince. The problem with WWE is Vince HAS NO BALLS and he's letting his wife, who knows shit about wrestling, set the boundries.
Fucking cunt bag....

Bullshit. It's just under that guise. Parents don't give a damn what their kids watch. Kids are watching The Office, South Park, Family Guy, all the R Rated movies, all the trashy dramas, and the local news.
It's because Linda is a cunt bag.

Remember last night in the Vault watching Mania XII and the theme at the end? Oh, yeah 450 went there, and I now give to you the rare gift of the theme song of Linda's that is...the WM XII theme with no lyrics, only instrumentals! Enjoy...or not...perhaps it will just serve to show how much of a douche Linda can be at times...:shifty:

Meanwhile, TNA gives us an HD look inside Velvet Sky's ass crack when The Beautiful People make their entrance.

It's a shame that their booking sucks so bad, otherwise they'd probably do pretty well in picking up the mature audience.

I know. It sucks about Linda though, because I always thought she was above publicity stunts like these, but I guess even the CEO of WWE (and real life President of it behind the scenes from 1993-2000), isn't.:(

Now, I don't know whether to hope she fades away, never to be seen on another WWE television screen again, or whether to hope for her eventual return later this year to complete the "2-year cycle" she's been on ever since '03 (appears in '03, then '05, then '07...)

TV-PG or TV-M, the writing wouldn't be any better. Actually I think if it were TV-M it would be worse because it would be just another excuse to use lesbians, midgets, corpse fucking, coffin dragging, dog eating, Al Wislon fucking, forced stripping, etc in the name of "entertainment". True, we don't have as many sexy gimmicks running around like the Godfather or Val Venis, but on the other hand, we don't have as many sexy gimmicks running around like the Godfather and Val Venis. Guys like that were fun during that era, but this is not that era.

During the Attitude Era everybody was over. You could have a raw filled with vignettes and a Headbangers v. Oddities match and then Stone Cold drove his car to the ring and stunned Vince and it would do a 5.9 rating. Yet today, people complain about the lack of wrestling in Raw. I miss guys being able to curse and I miss blood when it's called for. But I don't miss all the other excess.

The black and white is a pain in the ass for those of us that watched the blood in color when it happened, but ultimately makes sense in trying to be consistant with the rest of their current product.

Only thing I miss is certain diva's not being allowed to dress more scantily than they are allowed right now (see: Mickie James - yeah she's not quite as in shape when she debuted but so the fuck what? TNA's Awesome Kong has NEVER been in shape in her life I'm pretty sure, and she fucking wears black and blonde dreads and a fucking skimpy ass breastplate armor thing, for a woman who's 272 3/8 lbs., LOL at the 3/8s, THAT is unacceptble. I know we're not discussing TNA TV policy but still, would it really kill anyone to see mickie in skimpy tops and back in skirts where she belongs? I wouldn't object, as she is one damn fine lady...)

the old ppv's that they edit are messed up enough, you have a blurry spot over any sign or logo that depicts the wwf logo, the announcers and wrestlers get a 'bleeped' 'f' when they mention the wwf, and now they are going to black and white the blood, i find it really annoying watching the ppv with the logo blurred, especially when i was watching the 2000 royal rumble where there is a wwf logo adjacent to the tv camera it really spoils the experience, and half the reason i was watching it was for nostalgia purposes, its like they are trying to erase history i know the world wildlife fund won the rights to use 'wwf' but come on, you cant erase history its already happened.

I just think it's stupid. Like how do you show the Mankind/UT HIAC match or Lesnar vs. Hogan with these kinds of stupid fucking rules? Matches like that where the blood is just as big a part of the match as the people in it. Or even a few of the First Blood matches! I mean come on, this is pro wrestling, not your grandma's cookie shoppe where you can't get blood on anything.

Maybe they'll do a cool slow-fade and whoosh sound effect when they transition to the black and white, like a Knock-Out while playing UFC Undisputed or something. That I could buy.

Actually the 'f' is muted or edited out I think, but for some reason as a result of that stupid '02 lawsuit, they can and do still leave in the full "World Wrestling Federation" moniker. Oh, and lest I forget, they can use the old original block WWF logo, but not the white scratch and red scar underline insignia...which is why you see a haphazardly placed, bolded around the edges, WWE logo, usually in a spot where if you look hard enough, you can see traces in the background of it, of the scratch WWF logo...

They can use World Wrestling Federation because it's the initials' trademark, not the World Wrestling Federation's, that was under fire.

I think the TV-PG thing is stupid. Any parent that lets their child watch wrestling is obviously not concerned with teaching their child proper morals or character-building. What's a little blood and further sexism towards women?

But, at least SmackDown! appears to have retained a tiny bit of adult edge. There were a few veiled sexual references during the Dolph Ziggler/Maria segment and the Cryme Tyme Word Up sketch.

TV-PG or TV-M, the writing wouldn't be any better.

I disagree.
While the storylines, as a whole, wouldn't see any dramatic improvement overnight there are changes that we would see instantly. No more people acting tough just to say "I'm going to kick your butt" or "JBL is Poopy." The writing would have an edge to it.
And I'm not saying let's bump up the ratings to TV-M just for trash tv. I'm willing to compromise and go to TV-14. There is no reason why the alpha dog should act like a puppy here.

Yeah I mean RAW has gone from "Uncut. Uncensored. Uncooked.", to milder than the most pansy-ass salsa ever devised, which is one reason why it is in the horrendous shape it's in. That and the fact that sooner or later we all know Triple H is gonna suck his way to another title reign, and sometimes, even with the fresh ECW guys coming over, I don't think Bourne, Henry, Swagger and others can do nearly enough to right the RAW ship anytime soon.

I mean, c'mon, am I going to be more inclined to watch Mark Henry as a face who brutalizes all comers, or a heel who's always enraged and wants to shorten careers every day of HIS career? It's quite easily the latter. SmackDown! only has CM Punk with a locker room alignment crisis, who could shit in the ring a crap of 189 Courics and still not get any heel heat because it's forced on the crowd to accept his heel antics when there are some who will always stubbornly refuse like mules at a pond who won't drink water.

Case in point: Make the heels clear as heels so they can get all the heat they need to generate in heaping doses week after week. A great study in this is Vickie. She could work a crowd with 2 words: EXCUSE ME! The faces have to remember that they are there to not back down and not be afraid to throw in the occassional curse word here and there in promos, spice things up a bit. JEEZ!

Is that really so much to ask?
