The following is from the article:

According to North Carolina’s FayObserver.com, Chief Deputy Neil Godfry of the Moore County Sheriff’s Office says that the Fayetteville Police Department actually received a tip several days ago that Jeff Hardy was in possession of a large quantity of drugs. lol okay Tony Montana. I am in and know quite a bit about the wrestling trade that some people don't. The coke is likely his given his history, given the state of his body and how broken down he is, the pain pills will be his and as for the steroids, that tells it's own story. Just because Jeff is a small guy doesn't mean he isn't on the gas. I know a quite a few guys in the business in this country alone, let alone the States and the 'big leagues' who, except for the tell-tale signs, you wouldn't really be able to tell were on the gear due to their percieved lack of size.

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that local law enforcement raided Jeff Hardy's Cameron home at about 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning after receiving information developed by the Fayetteville Police Department.

The newspaper says Hardy was at home with "his wife" when the raid took place. Presumably, she is his fiancee Beth. She was not arrested.

Chief Deputy Neil Godfrey of the Moore County Sheriff's Office said the case remains under investigation and further charges are possible. He declined to say whether the additional charges could be against Hardy or others.

He added it's too early to determine whether the drugs found in Hardy's home were for personal use or distribution to others.

Obviously you are such a ingorant individual.....even if the Fayetville County District Attorney's Office was willing willing to make a plea deal with Hardy...why would they in good faith offer him a deal of only just one year in prison...they have him on 5 charges, 3 of which are felony drug charges....they could essentially with the evidence they have and the charges brought against him, having him do 15-30 years if they wanted to....The DA doesn't make deals with drug traffickers.....that charge alone as others have told you in this forum carries a minimum sentence of 3 years to a maximum of 14 years...even for first time offenders....the District Attorney's office is required to make sentencing reccomendations per the statuate of the crime and the judge usually sentences a criminal to the prescribed sentence of the law that fits the crime...There is no leeway given unless there are extinuiating circumstances....the only deal and best deal Jeff Hardy could make is to give up his dealer of the sources in which he obtained the opiates and prescription pills from.

And from the rumors I have heard....the Fayetteville Police are still investiagating the matter and there could be even more charges other than the 3 felonies and 2 misdemeanors Hardy is currently facing.

Trafficking is a charge that also could lead to a federal indictment on his part from the DEA and the U.S. District Attorney if they so choose to turn the case over to them and they want to pursue a federal charge on him.

And to those marks who were talking about Hardy's best defense is to claim the pills and opiates were for personal use and not for sale, that has no bearing or and will have no bearing on his defense against the trafficking charge.

Being charged with Trafficking has nothing to do with personal use or sale...it has to do with the amount of each drug the individual is caught with at the time of search and seizure.

There is prescribed amounts by state and federal laws that constitute a simple possession charge versus possession with the intent to distribute versus trafficking versus manufacturing....which is the various range of charges that you could potentially face being in possession of drugs. It's more of a matter in the eyes of the law that someone in possession with that amount of drugs, its not whether they say that they were using or selling...the sheer amount alone is enough reasonable doubt in the eyes of the law that you would have the intent to distribute them on a mass basis and that the amount is more than believed to be a personal collection... That is just the way the laws are written and the way the law works.

Hardy is probably going to end up facing about 4-5 felonies and 3-5 misdemeanors total. His best option is to plea out and give information to assist the district attorney and the police in obtaining arrests and convictions on where the origination of how he came to possess the drugs and where they are coming from...

In my eyes, Hardy will be lucky if the DA drops him to plead to 1-2 felonies and 1-2 misdemeanors....

Any plea deal the DA puts on the table will have him plead guilty to at least one felony...that is a non-negotiable....

My best course of action suggest and I predict that Hardy pleads guilty to 2 felonies and 1 misdemeanor, the judge sentences him to 7-10 years, and he's getting off lucky there....Hardy will take the deal, and with good behavior time being 20% in most states, that means he can get up to 10 days a month, so he'll be out in 3-5 years and then be on parole.

Either way good luck Jeff Hardy....harder to get ur dope in prison...but u fucked up ur life not anyone else....
