So what does everyone on the boards think of The show and Avid? Anyone like the song? I think its a good show and he just cracks me up anytime hes on tv or radio. If anyone heard him on Radio One, they would know why. This is my first post so Hi as well.

Meh, The show isn't too good.

Avid is quite funny at times though. (Thank You Please). :p

I love Bo Selecta, as do a number of other people around here.

Proper Crimbo is a funny single, dont know if it will get christmas number 1 though.

The show rules though

Can't stand Bo Selecta, although it probably has it's moments.
Avid Merrion was alright when I heard him on Radio 1 (on Chris Moyles show I do believe).
Don't like the single being released for Christmas, it's a cheap cash-in (like a lot of things this time of year), but it's not even a good cash-in

The single isn't too good, but then again neither is the Darkness' single. So either of them could do it. Don't forget this is the country that sent Mr Blobby to the top of the charts.

I didn't like the show when I saw it but the song's quite catchy. It's better than the Cheeky Girls at any rate

The Darkness remind me of old school rock in general, nevermind the Christmas song (if that gets to number 1 I'll be happy, better be higher than that fu</>cking Pop Idol shite). The Darkness are proof to me that there is hope out there in the shite world of today's music.

As far as Bo Selecta and Avid go, both very funny.

I really don't like the Darkness' single, simply because it reminds me of all the stuff they play in shopping centres while you are trying to get all the xmas shopping done as quickly as possible so you can get the hell out of there. The video is sufficiently cheesy though.

In closing, I hate shopping at christmas

Of the bits I've seen, its dire.

Whats funny about a guy with a bird of prey saying stroke t, then pulling it away?

it's hit and miss, but the stuff that's good is great. I like it.

Also, anyone who considers the darkness anything more than a comedy gimmick band and think them a saviour of real music needs to be shot.

Sssh you.

When I first saw the show I was like, ok I don't get this at all, but then it just grew on me after a while. Now I love the show, I love him and I love the song.
