This is just a main event rumble from the early 90's and I was wondering would anyone else like to see more over the top rope rumbles as just apart of the show? Kinda have it just as a "regular match", not really having any storyline or rewards behind it.

Old battle royals are kind of fun to watch for nostalgia reasons. But loading up the ring with 20 guys is a clusterfuck. With no title shot or anything else on the line, no. Huge waste of time.

I'd Imagine that Battle Royal was to put Over the Undertaker?

Does anybody have a link to that Dark Match Battle Royal that had the commentators talking shit? I'm pretty sure one of the commentators was Cornette?

Also, LOL @ Heenan and Hayes when Flair comes out:

Heenan: He's more popular here in New York than Billy Martin ever was, Reggie Jackson, Joe Namath, Mickey Mantle...
Hayes: Who are they?

Incidentally, there's a pretty decent "random rumble" on the Saturday Night's Main Event set, took place shortly after WM7.

Rumbles only make sense when there's no clear #1 contender for a title.

TNA overdoes the fuck out of them though.

Yes.

On second thought, no, because we won't have Monsoon and Heenan to talk about how dangerous they are and the arms and legs flying around.

I love battle royals, so hell yes.

Don't believe so. I'm thinking it was Hogan.

Nope, now I remember it. That Battle Royal sucked.

I love how when skinner comes out he spits and it look like the usher to his left got it on his shoe.

No. Let's not forget the most recent example either...the 20-Man Battle Royal which resulted in Khali winning the WHC. Ugh.

i would rather they bring back videos like Wrestlefest and Supertape where a random rumble would fit right in.

rumbles and king of the ring were great ways to build new stars. I wish they'd take advantage of it. Mike Knox winning the king of the ring would be fucking awesome.

I think the best part is at 3:09 with the one Bushwacker and the kid that freaks the fuck out when he tries to take his toy.

Monsoon: "Boy they love em!"

absolutely. Its a good way to give some guys face time on tv, and if they do decent, it can build them up a little.

I don't mind a couple a year, but come on, it took 10 minutes just to intro them all.
