Wolfmother to me, is the music equivalent of a typical summer blockbuster. It's not going to blow you away with any artistic vision, but if you relax and don't take it too seriously, it's pretty fun.

That said I gave this a spin, and I like what I hear so far.

Lyrically transparent, but sonically exciting. I think they are pretty cool. Worth seeing live, even if the CD has more dust on it that Kane Knight's nutsack.

Yeah I loved their first album. Lyrics + song titles some of the stupidest shit I had ever heard but the music was great

Doesn't have any "classics" on it like their debut (Woman, Joker & the Thief)

Good album. Not amazing, and nothing exceptionally stand-outish. But good album nonetheless, that could be listened to repeatedly.

I havn't heard anything from the album except for when they performed on Letterman but it looked like Andrew Stockdale is the only member left so I'm pretty sure it will not be very good at all.

He's really the only one who matters. It sounds exactly the same if not a bit more robust.

When I saw them in concert the bassist/organist made the show. Stockdale is important but the band just wasn't as good with just him.

I heard "White Unicorn" on the radio today and remembered this thread. I will let you know what I think of the album later.
