Hulk Hogan was on Bubba the Love Sponge today, and stated that he will be booking TNA and that he will oversee changes in the company. He also said that his contract says nothing about wrestling, and that he will be running the show. Hogan then said that he would be giving Vince Russo another chance, and that TNA is spending big money now.

So it's confirmed that Hogan has firing power (assuming he's not bullshitting, which is possible). This is BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD.

'Hogan has just announced that he has terminated the contracts of Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Matt Morgan and the MCMG. He has also announced the signings of the Nasty Boys, Buff Bagwell and Brutus Beefcake.'

It's probably all bullshit though, so don't worry.

So its probably wise to expect a "WWE Presents : Rise and Fall and then Fall some more" dvd within next few years. Wouldn't be that bad if they were to get the Invasion idea right this time.

Bob Carter's a billionaire???

Millionaire yes, I don't think he's in the position that Ted Turner was in during the WCW years.

You know, this all sounds an awful lot like WCW...

WCW: Started as the NWA, then found its own identity.

yes but at some point in wcw it was bigger than the wwf
so before the fall comes the victory

Yeah, but there's still a fall after that. Saying "oh well, we did okay for a little while before the entire thing plummeted into the shitter" doesn't exactly help.

all very very true . But what was the one thing that really killed WCW . the AOL merger. I dont see this kind of thing happening to TNA . Plus the Carter's arent out to kill Mcmahon like WCW was

The AOL merger was the thing that killed WCW monetarily. They were dead in the water about a year before that even happened though.

They had their booker come out to the ring and demand their champions hand over their belts so they could start over. Come on.

I actually really enjoyed that episode of Nitro. It felt like things really were going to finally change.

And then they didn't.

The 5 Horseman of the wrestling appocolypse: Hogan, Bischoff, Nash, Russo and Ferrera (sp?) all in TNA...lovely. And Borash is on the booking commitee, so that'll play out well. Terry Taylor can only do so much...

WCW : Jeff Jarrett as WCW Champion too many times and at the wrong times
TNA : Jeff Jarrett as TNA Champion too many times and at the wrong times

WCW : Had a non-wrestler win a high-level title and not do much in terms of storyline (David Arquette, WCW heavyweight)
TNA : Had a non-wrestler win a high-level title and not do much in terms of storyline (Pacman Jones, TNA Tag title)

That's some other similarities between the 2 companies. I guess Vince as a champion would be similar to what WCW/TNA did.

Hulk Hogan called in to Bubba The Love Sponge’s satellite radio show this morning and as always, the Hogan hype machine was in full force. During the Hogan said that some big names in the pro wrestling world could be headed to TNA Wrestling.

Hogan said we could see Steve Austin, Randy Savage and the Nasty Boys in the future. Steve Austin is a working actor and it’s highly unlikely he’d ever appear for any company outside of WWE. Hogan said he’s buried the hatchet after a long personal feud with Randy Savage, who is 56 years old and did not look very good during his last TNA run several years ago. The Nasty Boys are close with Hogan and actually could wind up in TNA at some point.

Hogan also joked with Bubba and asked if he wanted a spot on TNA’s creative team with him.

i have defened TNA in the past . But the way Hogan is sounding . TNA made a bad choice wit him . The mark in me would like to see Austin and Savage again . Nasty Boys not so much

You know when Jarret was in charge, I could see the reason why so many bad mistakes were being repeated. However, with Jarret a little out of the picture, I can't understand how an intelligent business woman (who I believe said she was a wrestling fan when she came in) could repeat so many bad moves.

I wonder if anyone ever gave her a copy of "Death of WCW".?
