Ah damn. Another huge match-up here. This is pretty hard here but I spent more time as a child watching and hating Vader. He was the ultimate bully and the guy you wanted the good guy to finally beat.

Muta was wonderful from what I saw of him but only got to see alot of his WCW work and nothing more. Vader for me.

Mutoh,

One of the biggest stars in the history of Japan and also the most innovative, most unique performer in all of wrestling.

Wrestling for over 25 years, in main events for 20, has created numerous successful gimicks and has carried 2 seperate companies over the last two decades. Now owns, books and performs for AJPW which he saved from going out of business.

I love Vader, but he is going up against one of the best workers of all time.

Me too. Like I said before, he's on the level of an HBK, Bret Hart, or
Chris Jericho. The only thing against him in this is the shortsightedness, both intentional and unintentional, of many of the posters on here against anything that isn't WWE.

To be honest, I have seen very few Muta matches but grew up watching Vader during his time as a wrestler in WWF/WCW. All I know about Muta is that he's reaposnible for bloody matches rated on a Muta scale and his trademark facepaint apperance.

Voted for Vader but mostly because I grew up watching him in the WWF and how agile he was for a big guy.

This is pretty close to my feelings on the matter. This matchup basically comes down to talent vs. exposure. Muta should be a 5th round opponent without question but not enough people here have seen him. As good as Vader was, he's nowhere close to Keiji Mutoh in terms of ability, impact, or legacy.

obviously you never saw Muta in WCW and the NWA....Muta has competed on an international level over the 35 plus years that he's been in the wrestling business. And I hate to burst your bubble but alot of the guys that you call "American" wrestlers have honed their skills in the internation scene and on a worldwide level.

Hulk Hogan was trained by Hiro Matsuda from Japan....guys like Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Owen Hart, Jim Neihardt, Brian Pillman, Perry Saturn, Sting, Ric Flair, Shane Douglas, and many many others of the American wrestlers earned their stripes wrestling in Korea, China, Japan, the UK and all over.... so to say you watch "American" wrestling to me is an assanine statement.
