I was suprised at how well the Natural Disasters did in the better tag team tournament and I wanted to ask who are some of you other favorite oversized tag teams? I'm not just talked big muscled like LOD or the Allied Powers, I mean the rediclously tall (Kane and Big Show) or the massively heavy (Bam Bam and Vader). A couple of teams that I have looked back on and I think were good even thought neither was around for very long was the Twin Towers (Akeem and the Big Boss Man) with Slick and the Skyscrapers (Dangerous Dan Spivey and Mean Mark Callous) with Teddy Long. Both teams were in the late 80 with each individual (to include Sid Vicious who was replaced by Mark) went on to good singles runs afterwards.

I watched AWA a couple of times and thought the Texas Hangmen were kind of cool.

Maybe not a very talented team, but any stable that has Tenta as it smallest member got some beef

I'm sorry guys Hansen and Brody were better than all of these teams. The little guys couldn't even keep up with their pace.

Jacob and Eli Blu were rather big. They weren't too bad.

What puzzles me is why was he called Yeti anyway, and not Mummy?

From an interview with Ron Reis (The Yetay) on PWInsider:

"The big thing they wanted to achieve was that first battle royal. It was going to be a 60 man battle royal and three giants. It was going to be Paul Wight (Big Show), Giant Gonzalez, and myself. I would be the ninja from Japan or something like that. They brought over Big Show to start doing his stuff. Then they brought over the Giant Gonzalez to start doing his stuff, but then he got sick. He came over and got workman's comp and then went back to…Argentina. When he did that, they (said to me), "Hey. We need you to go down there and jump in this role. And then I jumped out of the ice and came down and did the double bear hug…"

---

So he was apparently supposed to be a ninja before The Yeti...

And apparently Giant Gonzalez was supposed to be The Yeti...

Jesus Christ...

He was, sooner or later. I think it was after his Yeti run, and his Flock run.

The Unholy Alliance. A combined weight of 830 pounds, and (billed) combined height of 14 feet. And they were both in such shape at the time that they looked like scary, unstoppable freaks of nature.

And yeah, Kane and Taker.

That's from wiki:

7 ft 2 in (2.18 m)
7 ft 8 in (2.34 m) as Yeti

I love it how they bill him to be 16cm taller in one gimmick than another.
