MARC MERO : “I’ve wrestled against 28 people who are dead''

I just figured he sucked but apparently most of his opponenets aren't alive. Maybe he's actually awesome that he even got them to work a match. On that note would anyone like to see the legendary superstar return to WWE? And in what role/character? :?:

I saw a quote from Mero saying 31 but apparently he was upping his own number for publicity or whatever.

We should try and figure out who is on the list..

Big Bubba Rodgers aka Big Bossman
Eddie Guerrerro
Brian Pillman
Chris Benoit*
Jumpin Joey Maggs*
Road Warrior Hawk
Rick Rude
Shark aka Earthquake
Bodydonna Skip aka Chris Candido
Crush
Owen Hart
British Bulldog

Benoit/Maggs were all at WW3, might not have directly wrestled Mr. Badd in the match.

I can only come up with 12 that he wrestled on tv using this (http://www.profightdb.com/wrestler_search/marc-mero-208.html?opp=247). Its possible the others were either on minor tv shows or non televised..

Yeah but he never had two wrestlers die right after wrestling them.

Score one for the Anderson Man!

Im sure there has been a wrestler who was in the ring with someone who died during a match..that would trump Mr Anderson.

Great Khali:

On 28 May 2001, Brian Ong died after receiving a flapjack from Singh.[1] Ong had suffered a previous concussion during the session, but the trainers gave him a lower evaluation for not avoiding injuries and told him to continue training. In addition, it was proven that Ong did not receive protective gear or supervision by All Pro Wrestling (APW) staff. This second concussion ultimately proved fatal for him. As Singh inadvertently caused his death, Ong's family brought a lawsuit against APW.[1] APW was found liable for recklessness after less than a day of deliberations, awarding the Ong family for damages of over $1.3 million.[1]

Also a Brit wrestler called Mal 'King Kong' Kirk died in the ring during a match with Big Daddy many moons ago... and Iron Mike DiBiase died in the ring during a match.

Was it Hayabusa who died doing a springboard moonsault off the ropes?

And who was the Mexican wrestler who died either this year or last in the ring?

Anyway, to add to the list....

Test
Steven Dunn
John Kronus
Bam Bam Bigelow
Crash Holly
Curt Henning

And then, he might have wrestled Bad News Brown. Terry Gordy, Mike Awesome, Hercules, Public enemy.

If I knew of who marc Mero wrestled at indie dates, i'd want to beat myself up.

All of those and the ones I had add up to 24..so we're still short 4.

I dont think anybody he wrestled during his short stint in TNA is dead.

Well I heard on PWPix.com that they were all victims of The Ring video tape & a botched attempt at channeling Bloody Mary.

Well, my list is all wrestlers who died this decade. I'm sure the late 90's will give us another 4.

Hayabusa didn't die, he was paralyzed from the waist down though.

I get the feeling he has some kind of wallchart with wrestlers faces of who he has wrestled, crossing off all these wrestlers faces to keep count of those that are dead.
