Looks pretty sweet as a stocking filler. I might get me one of these for the holidays when I'm stuck with uninteresting relatives.

That's pretty cool.

Though I still own the original handheld Genesis brick known as the Nomad.

The Game Gear. I still got mine AND still use it.

Pain in the ass to find games for it.

Someone should just market one of these simple little devices with a memory card slot. Let it be compatible with all 16- and 8-bit consoles (emulators). I'd buy it.

Yeah, I know they exist for GBA/DS, but I'm talking stand-alone.

I thought they had something like that? I remember reading something about it, but the reviews said some of the emulation was piss poor.

Did the Nomad ever find a release in Europe? I vaguely remember reading about it, and then being disappointed that it wasn't arriving.

Original DS Lites seem to be dropping in price too. An extra £30 or so and I could get one of those. Any game suggestions other than the obvious SuperMario and MarioKart?

According to Wiki, no, the Nomad was never released in Europe, just Japan and North America.

In short, one exists, and it isn't great.

You can use old games with this too right? Not just the ones included?

If so I want it NOW.

Seems that it's only the games included.
