http://www.cracked.com/article_16196_7-commandments-all-video-games-should-obey.html

It came from August of last year. But it talks about some things that people don't get about video games.

Yes I remember the days of me and my friends circled around the tv playing Goldeneye on N64. Whoever came in last had to give up their controller

I hate shitty endings in video games. Definitely disappointed with the new 2D Mario for Wii. I didn't finish the star road yet though so maybe there is something more.

Really? What did you find disappointing about 2D Mario's ending? It was in line with the rest of them.

I found nothing wrong with it personally, as I wasn't expecting some hour long cut scene or something.

I find it hilarous that people think graphics have anything to do with how good a game is, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark are among the best shooters ever and never had exceptionally good graphics.

Actually compared to consoles at the time, Rare managed to max out the N64 both times with Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Perfect Dark needed the RAM pack just to handle all the special graphical effects and game content. Frame-rate did end up coming at a cost though with 4 player split screen or explosive weapons.

Forgot how Rare maxed out the N64 with Goldeneye but it wasn't so much about graphics but the game engine they used. They did however found the perfect formula in multiplayer that made the game fun even if graphics looked bad by late N64 era.
