I was watching some older matches from Japan featuring Vader, the Undertakers (not the one from the WWE) and Land of Giants (Two near 7 footers) and I was just curious who are some of the larger and taller wrestlers who could get up to the top rope and could do moonsaults, senton bombs, etc. Most perople know of Bam Bam Bigelow (6ft 3 400lbs) and Vader (6ft 5 450lbs) being able to moonsault or Sean O'Haire is I think the tallest I've found at 6ft 6 that could fly, but has there been any bigger than that? I've heard that One Man Gang could do some aerial manuvers durring his prime but I've never seen them.

I think Mable/King Mable/Viscera/Big Daddy V could do flips and top rope moves but not as much while in the WWF/WWE since Vince likes his big men to be more about power and mat-based wrestling.

Didn't The Big Show use a moonsault when he was in WCW?

I heard Umaga was pulling off Lionsault's in Japan.

Adrian Adonis could also really fly as well.

Yes.

No one believes me when I say this and I can't find the footage, but he did one.

I've never actually seen it, but i know there was the story abou thow when show first started on a saturday night show when he was closer to 300/350 he did a moonsault and bisch absolutely laid into him about leaving the ground. Told him never to do it again. I've heard it several places.

That being said, even if it is true, Brock Lesnar and Bam Bam were the most athletic true Big Men ever.

Big Show doing a Moonsault now would be the greatest thing ever.

What we have here is failure to communicate

(And I think the line was 'Is that supposed to be...humourous?')

John Kronus was a pretty big guy to be doing springboard moonsaults and 450 Splashes on a regular basis.

when Umaga was still in his Jamal gimmick, i remember him doing the getting clotheslined backflip thing, or maybe it was Rosie? either way, pretty impressive.

Rikishi sold a clothesline like that from Chyna.

According to Paul Wight he never done a moonsault outside of the powerplant and even then it was DDP that talked him into trying it and he only ever did it once. That was when he was just starting out training and was considerably thinner than he is now.

Was in an interview on byte this a while back.

I swear to God I've seen the footage. It's shot from the floor near the turnbuckle.

Sounds like it may have been someone that looked a bit like him? This is from a period where he was a lot thinner and had long hair, a look that quite a few in wcw had, a shot from the floor could also make the wrestler performing it look larger.

Id link the byte this episode but wwe has fucked the links for it and the vid no longer plays.

Just found an interview where he mentions it

In the beginning, times were fun, according to the Big Show, but not without some hardships, as he relates in a humorous story about performing a moonsault.

It was pretty goofy," he says. "The only problem was that I don't think anybody wanted to lay underneath me when I landed. We were screwing around with it, and one of the upper-echelons in WCW at the time pretty much reamed my ass out for doing that. I was a rookie at the time and didn't really know how to stand up for myself. Basically, they told me I had no business being on the top rope at all. I was a ground attacker, and I was a tank, so stay off the tope rope. Diamond Dallas Page and Terry Taylor put him up to it, and it was one of those collective `you've got so much athleticism, show it.' So I did, and I got my ass chewed out right after it. I haven't actually hit somebody with it, but it was a glorified miss."

Sure he wasn't doing a Vaderbomb or sumthing?

No.... I can confirm that Big Show has done a Moonsault, but cannot prove it either..... all I can remember is that it was in the classic "yellow WCW logo" ring and most likely in 1996

The largest I have seen is Bam Bam. I remember watching it live and thinking that the man was a fucking maniac.

What about The Headhunters? They were bigger than Bam Bam and they both did moonsaults.

See the 11:30 mark

Hugh Morrus' moonsault just precedes it too by about 30 seconds.
