I hope it's Chris Benoit.

It looks shite. I'm not saying use "canned animation" or have them teleport, I'm saying have them stagger into close enough range to just hit the move. Or is that all dependant on where you are when you start the wake up taunt? |
That's a minor issue, though. Better to give you the freedom to set up a move (say a springboard finisher) than have a canned animation where you're guaranteed to be face to face in the middle of the ring every time.
|
Looking over it constantly, it seems like it depends on where you are when you start the taunt, we'll know for sure when/if there is a demo.
|
Pretty non-point complaint, really.

Looks like Sheamus not only got a new High Cross, but a new Brogue Kick as well.
<iframe width="560"height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wsJ1pjGSn6g"frameborder="0"allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I could never hit the Brogue Kick properly in SvR.
|
Brogue kick looks amazing!
|
Hoping for a Sheamus RTWM.
|
Fella
|
Speaking of RTWM I hope The Miz has one this year he's long overdue for one he's been one of THQ's mouthpieces of the game for the last few years afterall.
|
True
|
My RTWM predictions are Cena, Orton, The Miz, Punk, and a random wrestler/CAW one like the Undertaker one last year.
|
Wait, what? You can only play the "story mode" with certain wrestlers? That's kinda dumb.
Keep in mind I have not owned a wrestling game since No Mercy, so if this has been going on for years and years, I apologize for cluing in so late. |
Is the physics system from last year still in?
Like doing a back suplex onto steps and we have the animation of it? Cause I fuggin loved that. If they took it out I'm going to be very very anger. |

Trade-off is that they use full voice overs for the whole thing. Also, it's cool because in the past, story mode would be a bit generic, since it had to be able to work with every wrestler in the game. Now there are far less wrestlers to choose from, but it's far more personable for each one. You can do cool shit like reunite E & C as Edge, and things of that sort. I like it better. Plus, there is always Universe mode and Create-a-storyline, if you like the old style. It's win-win, really. |

I had a dream I bumped into Corey Ledesma at a festival last night, I asked him who the mystery superstar was and he said Daivari. Lol

Yes, the Classic Intercontinental Championship is in <S class=hash>#</S>WWE12!! One of the many new unlockable titles this year. However the strap isnt white. |
That's one right for me.
|
@RealCoryLedesma Cory Ledesma
People asking whether or not u can swap out the IC titles in <S class=hash>#</S>WWE12. U can simply turn on or off any title you want. Both active, none or 1. |
that is a bad ass feature.
|
Interesting stuff. I wonder if they're having rankings this year then what with the number of belts that can be active.
I know there's a Universe momentum meter, will probably be tied to that. |
What is the universe momentum meter?

It doesn't solve the annoying problem of the tag team not coming out together though when they hold the tag belts. They can only be a proper tag team if they don't hold the mother fucking tag team championships. Has driven me nuts since I got the game.
|
I really hope they've revamped the way the titles and shows are booked. Dual champions should be a very rare occurrence. It gets annoying especially with the tag titles, because I've had, for example, Undertaker wrestling at least two times on every fucking PPV. They really should limit the amount of times a wrestler can wrestle in a show, barring the Rumble and maybe a specific Universe storyline where he's forced into two matches.
|
Well, looks like they're releasing the RTWM details next week with Universe preview coming by the end of the month. Not long to find out.

The Enforcer, Double A Arn Anderson

Horsemen theme.
|
I'd posted his finisher vid too, but THQ used the DDT not his Spinebuster.
|
Pity they don't annouce the team name but I still marked out for this:
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jBDsDjdyzRY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Just looking at the roster again.
Vlad, Chavo, McCool already make the game "outdated". But man, that Legends roster might be the best ever. |
Them only having three people who are no longer with the company is pretty good for them.
|
Looks like my CAW this year will be Demolition Xero.
|
I don't wanna go looking back through the thread, but have they said anything about the volume of custom music for entrance music not being 100 times louder then everything else on 360 for this one ?
|
Quote:
|
I hope so. The problem also existed for the DLC for some reason. A bit ridiculous when you consider you couldn't hear them announce Cena's DLC when he's already in the game.
|
Quote:

The bug that caused the Custom Themes from playing during the match after you pause was apparently fixed as well.
|
Arn's head is way too small..... and I could see some decent Benoit CAW's with that theme being available.....
|
Wish they would have picked the better Horsemen theme

Will we still have to create a playlist for each song?

Probably. I think that's a "feature" of the 360 more than the game.

Come to think of it though, I think the NCAA games had the same problem. The custom stadium sounds were much louder than everything else. |

So Mexico is getting their own cover with Sin Cara.
http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...98398700_n.jpg From WWEGames' Facebook: Check out our exclusive Mexico cover for WWE '12 featuring the real Sin Cara! We will make this cover available as a printout on our official website as well so anyone world-wide can have it. |
If I can get hold of a glossy printer, that's my cover. Sorry Randall.
|
Where's the Barrett one for the UK?
|
|
They should also do a Sheamus one for Ireland... Just sayin'. Even though he might clash with the background.
Seriously though, the Sin Cara cover looks pretty badass. |
Would be cool if they keep doing this every year and add more countries to the mix. Seems like a good way to get people interested, specially since WWE trying to go international. I was hoping for a Mexican cover featuring all the Mexican superstars but that is one bad ass cover.

|
Awesome news, but I kind of wish Heyman was in too. Now that's what I'd use in Create-a-Story.
|
A Heyman CAW will be up within the first week, at least.
|
I know, but that would use one of my CAW spots if I try to be epic.
|
They may include Heyman, we don't know. Since he was a big part of it, there's a chance they'll throw him in as a manager, or maybe as a special character in one of the RTWM's.
I wonder if Lesnar will be in any of them. Would be fucking amazing if they did one that culminated in Lesnar vs. Taker. I'm also wondering if it'll be 2002-2004 Lesnar or current penis sword Lesnar. |
Quote:
|
It probably will be. Even The Rock was classic Rock until he was back on the roster.
|
Yeah, I'm assuming "classic" Lesnar, but you can take that quote as two ways, really. Either it has to be classic Lesnar or they just can't allude to his current MMA persona and they'll just release an updated Lesnar in wrestling gear.
Either way I'm totally stoked. |

Can barely hear the music.
Otherwise it's pretty cool, though they probably should have either picked Nash (Current/2000s version) or Diesel (90s) instead of a clear mix of the two that looks like he got caught in a time warp. I get it's supposed to be his Royal Rumble character, but even then, he was Diesel, not Nash. |

@RealCoryLedesma Cory Ledesma
During the entire Q&A interview Sheamus said "fella" 37 times. We counted. @RealCoryLedesma Cory Ledesma I asked Sheamus whether we got his paleness down right in <S class=hash>#</S>WWE12. I have no clue what Sheamus is even saying.

TMZ is now reporting that Lesnar is in the game.
http://ll-media.tmz.com/2011/10/10/1...-getty-exd.jpg After SEVEN YEARS apart, UFC pain machine Brock Lesnar is getting back into business with the company that put him on the map -- WWE -- in a deal that will make him the "featured star" in a brand new video game. Multiple sources confirm ...the people developing "WWE: 12" approached Brock back in January and asked for permission to use his name and likeness in the game and the advertising campaign. We're told Brock loved the idea -- but wouldn't sign off unless his current boss, UFC honcho Dana White, gave his blessing. Fortunately, it worked out. TMZ spoke with White, who told us, "I love WWE and I have nothing but love for Vince McMahon -- I'm totally OK with Brock being in the game." We're told the first commercial for the game -- starring Brock -- will be released tomorrow. |
 re-animated f-5 I hope!
|
Brock Lesnar is returning to the WWE - in video game form. THQ has confirmed to me that Lesnar, who hasn't been seen in a wrestling ring in over seven years, will be the final character in the game's main roster.
"It's one of those things where… it's part of my history. Without the WWE, I probably wouldn't be where I am today," Lesnar told me via e-mail. "I wouldn't have the high visibility, I wouldn't have had the leverage to come into the UFC. I would have had to do it all on my own. I'm no idiot when I say that when I was with the WWE, the visibility from that company and what they did on a global network for 'Brock Lesnar' as a whole, put me on another level." Lesnar as a character will play very much like you expect, retaining his signature move set, including his signature finishing move, the F5. A brief hands-on with the character indicated that THQ had in fact nailed Lesnar's likeness - he moves and attacks like the monstrous tank you'd expect. http://ps3media.ign.com/ps3/image/ar...049118-001.jpg THQ is updating the star to reflect his current look (mostly that means he has more tattoos) versus his appearance seven years ago. Though he's not a gamer himself, being in a video game made perfect business sense to the former WWE champion. After being gone from wrestling television for nearly a decade, many younger fans have likely never even seen Lesnar in a squared circle. For those keeping meticulous track, Lesnar's Overall Score in WWE '12 is 92. That's equivalent to superstar Eddie Guerrero, and below a few major names including The Rock (96), Randy Orton (95), Edge (94), CM Punk (95), 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin (95), Triple H (94) and the Undertaker (97). Lesnar will be unlockable through a "brief run with the game through WWE Universe mode" according to THQ. Of course, being in WWE '12 begs the obvious question - would Lesnar ever consider returning to WWE programming? "It would have to be under the right circumstances," Lesnar said. "I don't know if Mr. McMahon and I could come to the right circumstances. If it was good for me and good for him I think that we could do something. At the end of the day, my life, my character and my profession - I take them very seriously. At the end of the day, if it doesn't help me or my family out, and it doesn't make sense for me to do, then I don't do it. Everything would have to fall in the right place, but would I consider it? Absolutely." Lesnar noted there is one former WWE superstar who could easily lure him back to the ring - 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. "[Austin] chicken-sh**ted out on me and walked away and didn't want to participate because he thought that I was getting something too fast too soon and he felt threatened by me." Lesnar also noted there is "a guy that's been on a winning streak for a long time that somebody needs to step up to the plate and finish the winning streak." A suggestion of a match with Cena, perhaps? Credit - ps3.ign.com |

I can't tell. Are these really good renders or heavy Photoshop jobs? |
Yeah he put on his old gear for the photo. Kinda cool, and promising.

pretty sure that's an old/one of the first WWE promo pics of Brock with the knife tat added
|
You're right.

I'm glad that Lesnar has a 92 overall even it's only 1 point higher than last game he was in, in which his 91 was the second highest in that game beaten only by Legend Undertaker with the highest of 93.
