You really think it'd be like WCW when Ted Turner lost interest?

Ted Turner didn't infiltrate his whole family into the business for decades. It's a family ran business just like how Vince's father got it going...

It's not going anywhere..

Who knows, Shane McMahon could come back with huge hype and run the show as an on screen character. He's good with the audience as a face & heel.

erickman 05-21-2010 12:12 PM

wwe is nothing like wcw, ted never lost intrest in wrestling, he merged his company then aol ended up with it, an ted lost wcw and the braves through that buy out, ted said that merge was the bigest mistake in his life. on wwe i wish shane cared about the wrestling bussness but it looks like he is into ufc, an trips an steph i have no fath in them.

TheAdamEvansFan 05-21-2010 12:55 PM

You're an idiot. Ted Turner lost interest in wrestling, he said it himself.

Shane cares but he wants to explore his options.

Trips n Steph has no faith in your ability to type.

erickman 05-21-2010 02:04 PM

yeah thats right turner never merged with time, time was never taking over by aol turner still owns the braves, but thats only in your world not in the real world dumbass.

AOL/Time Warner lost interest in wrestling, not Ted Turner.

TheAdamEvansFan 05-21-2010 09:08 PM

I hope WWE tricks the internet world at Over The Limit

For a year now, it's been known that Batista's contract ended at the end of May.

In the past 5 months, he's shown that he wants to do what The Rock & Stone Cold Steve Austin did and focus acting instead of wrestling.

So we are pretty sure Batista is going to lose... I mean even if we weren't reading the spoilers or knew the backdrop of Batista's contract story... it's obvious... right? I mean, he's lost like every match vs Cena at the PPVs recently... And he goes out there and pretends it never happened..

So wouldn't it be FUCKING sweet if Batista actually won and Cena took time off..

The internet world would piss their pants..

We got mad Cena haters in here...

Sure.. for good reason.. his character is stale and has lost momentum...

So in the back of my mind, it'd be bittersweet of WWE if they gave Batista the win, Cena takes time off, gets back into the rapping like he said he wanted to do in a recent magazine..

In this case, Batista and WWE would "break-up" on decent terms for future endeavors...

The Animal would get the last laugh and Cena would be broken...

Maybe Cena would come on Raw after Over The Limit and brutally beating The Animal, thus, writing his character out of the WWE, and thus, turning Cena heel and still shooting as fired since he lost the "I Quit" match.

Sure.. this is beyond reason.... But in todays world.. It's worth a try.

adam evans making a surprise run in and winning the title makes more sense

TheAdamEvansFan 05-21-2010 09:12 PM

sounds good to me...

XCaliber 05-21-2010 11:02 PM

This is their 3rd encouter I wouldn't be surprised if Batista wins despite him wanting to leave he may have been just saying that to get a better deal all along.

Volare 05-21-2010 11:07 PM

Shelly Martinez owes me 3:55 of my life back dammit!

Mr. Nerfect 05-22-2010 01:20 AM

Batista winning is not impossible. More shocking things have happened. The WWE probably wants to keep Batista in court, and if they made him a good offer and put the WWE Title on him for a little bit, Batista might stay. Sheamus would probably factor into Cena losing, if it did happen, and the two would feud away from the title as Batista took on some random rising face. It could actually be good television.

Emperor Smeat 05-22-2010 02:29 AM

I could see it being a possibility since they could always negotiate a short term extension for a few months if they wanted to extend the storyline/feud and end it on a bigger PPV event like Summerslam.

jskinnyg 05-22-2010 04:23 AM

This would be FUCKING AWESOME... I hope you are right... It happens every once in a blue F'in moon...

TheAdamEvansFan 05-22-2010 09:21 AM

Will Linda McMahon's political campaign help WWE or hurt WWE

Do you feel that Linda McMahon's role as a Senator will help or hurt WWE

Some feel that the PG push is due to her efforts in Conneticut.

However, any publicity for WWE, is good publicity.. Even if it'd bad..

Former wrestling fans, who have most likely grown up and grown out of the business, might be more inclined to come back and view some current storylines if they see WWE on the news, in the headlines...

Yes, they're called the mentally handicapped.

thedamndest 05-22-2010 10:34 AM

I hope the gimmick to Over The Limit turns out to be the final match goes beyond 11:00 and we have to wait until Raw to find out who is the champion.

Kane Knight 05-22-2010 10:37 AM

Schadenfreude.

TheAdamEvansFan 05-22-2010 10:48 AM

The match could still be going on when Raw starts, Batista has been dominating Cena for 24 hours but he still won't quit... :shifty:

I thought that WAS a big factor :S

However, that's not the reason for the product is crap, the product was steadily getting crappier years before the pg era.

Yes like the steroid trials and the Chris Benoit murders.

TheAdamEvansFan 05-22-2010 01:54 PM

Yup as every other sport/entertainment has it's steriods/scandals.

We are only human!

Benoit should have stopped doing the headbutts from the top rope.. Has nothing to do really do with steroids.. Too many shots to the head.

The Pope 05-22-2010 02:53 PM

You really don't hear of many ECW stars doing what WWE stars do, do you?

Kalyx triaD 05-22-2010 03:13 PM

I don't pretend to be a doctor. We discussed this thing long ago here in TPWW and we all know it doesn't mean doctor.:nono:
