Nope. Only 1 team has had a winning record when the Broncos beat them during this 6 game streak.

Oakland was 4-4
KC was 4-5
Jets were 5-5
Chargers were 4-7
Vikings were 2-10
and Da Bears were 7-6

There 2 other wins: Miami was 0-6, Cincinnati was 1-1.

The records you're posting are all those teams records AFTER losing to Denver. Denver played the Bengals in week 2, how could they be 1-1?

And the headline news for the Arizona Cardinals is...

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 01:52 PM

I'm so sorry

I'll take Eli all day baby.

CSL 12-12-2011 03:45 PM

Tony Sparano fired also. Not a good day to be an NFL coach

Innovator 12-12-2011 04:29 PM

I wouldn't answer my phone if I was Norv.

You are right, but the fact remains that the Broncos haven't beaten a good team. If they beat the Pats and go deep in the playoffs then I will gladly go get baptized in Tim Tebow's cum.

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 05:19 PM

I'd argue the Jets and Chargers could qualify as good, as well as half the Bears (the half that matters, really) and the Raiders (terrible one week, good the next), but your point is fair enough. I think Denver matches up decently well against New England, so long as they can somewhat cover Gronkowski. If he has a good game it could get one sided

Triple Naitch 12-12-2011 07:07 PM

Chargers are as good as the Eagles are (re:not really). They have talent but no heart and an idiot coach.

Tim's weakness is getting hit causes him to get rattled pretty easily. If NE can hit Tim early Denver will have trouble moving the ball through the air

Denver's D is good, but I don't think it matches up well against NE. If Bailey is likely covering Welker, who's on Gronk? They lack anyone big and physical enough to match up with him. Def my biggest concern there

I would guess it'll be Bailey on Gronk, Chris Harris on Welker, and Dawkins on Aaron Hernandez

maybe

So they're good but not good? Got ya

Rather have Bailey on Welker. I think Woodyard has the speed and physicality to cover Gronk, just please not DJ. Goodman should cover whoever is the least likely to do anything when they get open and catch it. If Goodman is allowed to get burned by anyone with ability after the catch, it could get ugly (see: Goodman on Harvin)

don't you have to qualify that with an adjective in front of "NFL Coach"?

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 08:52 PM

Implying that color is purple

Also, lol at the counter-clutch Flacco being an option

flacco has 2 4th quarter comebacks this year..Id like to see Tebow pull a 4th quarter comeback off in Pittsburgh (and hey, I guess the Broncos could end up playing the Steelers in the playoffs, but not in Pittsburgh..)

Triple Naitch 12-12-2011 09:36 PM

Just two?

Droford 12-12-2011 09:39 PM

well, one of the cool things about 4th quarter comebacks is they're not necessary when you're already winning in the 4th quarter...

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 09:41 PM

lol, why do you constantly insist that Flacco is the gold standard? As if his stats and "accomplishments" are what every QB should aspire to achieve? 2 4th quarter comebacks? Tebow has 5 this season and 6 total in his 11 games, including one down by 15 with no timeouts and less than 5 minutes left. Comeback against Pittsburgh? Nope, haven't played them, but the Bears D is just as good and he came back from down 10 with no timeouts with less than 3 minutes

You think Flacco can pull either of those off with the Broncos offense? Or does he Flacco it up and throw a pick?

Reavant 12-12-2011 09:44 PM

the raiders actually didnt have their starting QB and RB when they played either

Evil Vito 12-12-2011 09:45 PM

Eli Manning not winning New York/New Jersey in that poll is a disgrace.

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 09:47 PM

Pretty surprised by Tebow not getting Florida too

Wouldn't call Jason Campbell a huge loss, and Michael Bush has been just as good as DMC this year.

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 09:51 PM

Palmer and Bush did great against a defense that's been "carrying Tebow"

Palmer had 332yds and 3 TDs
Bush had 96yds for 5.1ypc

Yeah, don't think Campbell and DMC were missed too much

The Gold Standard 12-12-2011 10:47 PM

If this game was say, Pit/Bal would it be considered a defensive classic?

DrA 12-12-2011 11:08 PM

This has probably been the weakest year for running backs in recent memory. Other than Adrian Peterson, who else, there really aren't any franchise running backs anymore.

DrA 12-12-2011 11:14 PM

I bet this whole revolving door running back thing is a fad. In the next five years an unbelievable running back will come out and change the league, then every team in the will try to use a guy in the same way that guy is used. Then they will talk about "The Return of the Running Back League" on Sportscenter and the Sportscenter Recap Show.

Evil Vito 12-12-2011 11:45 PM

lol @ Stuart Scott and Trent Dilfer in studio instead of at the MNF stadium for the 2nd week in a row. Blatantly obvious that ESPN was just trying to save some money because nobody watched the last 2 weeks anyway. Probably also explains the blimp image gaffes from last week.

This is the guy that stated TD was the one that didn't belong on this list.

Quote:

O.J. Simpson
Eric Dickerson
Barry Sanders
Terrell Davis
Jamal Lewis
Chris Johnson
Now I'd agree if he had said all 3 of the bottom don't belong on the list with 3 of the all time greats, but to pick TD over the other 2 just baffles me after all this time.

Droford 12-12-2011 11:57 PM

I already explained why he doesnt belong on that list and I think my explanation was sufficient.

FearedSanctity 12-12-2011 11:58 PM

And you think Flacco is a great, clutch QB. Your opinion is invalid

DaveBrawl 12-13-2011 12:02 AM

You called Jamal Lewis a fluke but said he belonged, but TD didn't because of injury...that's not a sufficient explanation at all.

FearedSanctity 12-13-2011 12:09 AM

TD After 61 games (and before his injury):
6,413yds 4.75ypc 56 TDs

CJ after 60 games:
5,473yds 4.8ypc 38 TDs

Jamal Lewis' career, 131 games:
10,607yds 4.2ypc 58 TDs

COME THE FUCK ON

Droford 12-13-2011 12:17 AM

Chris Johnson is looking like a pretty big fluke as well. He's not even going to get 1200 yards this year which is what he had his rookie year. If they hadn't paid him that huge contract Id bet he'd be out of the NFL in 2 years..

Droford 12-13-2011 02:02 AM

Theres only 1 coach left of a team that John Harbaugh has beaten in the playoffs now that both Sparano and Haley were fired today (to go along with Jeff Fisher) Dont think BB is gonna be fired anytime soon though... Sparano and Haley both lost their first playoff appearance. Here's looking at Gary Kubiak and the Texans for this year..hmm.

Evil Vito 12-13-2011 09:49 AM

Love fucking around with the playoff machine. Tried to come up with the most asinine playoffs imaginable and came up with the Eagles winning the East at 8-8, the Cardinals and Seahawks getting the 5th and 6th seeds respectively, and Tebow getting the number 1 seed.

Innovator 12-13-2011 10:35 AM
