Revealed so far is the ability to play as 4 different Umbrella Security Services members, each with their own unique abilities. For instance, one of the revealed characters, Vector, is equipped with a cloaking ability.

A multiplayer mode is also confirmed, which pits the USS against the US Government, with the latter looking to uncover the situation Umbrella is attempting to hide.

If one of their big gimmicks is some grand 'what if' moment than I'm forced to believe they don't have much to offer. You're not edgy or controversial. Move on and show me something.

This is a spin-off so the studio can do what they want, even if it's a silly idea. But this will do nothing to the franchise but embarrass the team working on it. No sweat off Capcom's back.

Bring on the 3DS games.

Good point about it being a spin-off, for some reason I jumped to the conclusion that this was meant to be RE 6.

I'd be pissed the fuck off in that case.

I don't what Capcom's outsourcing "deal" is right now. It's like, "hey, you make pretty awful games. Want to try your hand at one of our franchises?"

I lost interest in the Resident Evil games a long time ago.

That's a shame. I hated the first couple, but 4 and 5 were masterpieces. Four especially.

The Chronicles series on the Wii were not that bad either since they sort of filled in most of what had occurred during the games or in between games with the Darkside Chronicles being better overall than the Umbrella Chronicles.

I have mixed interest for this game at the moment since Capcom is testing the "move while your shooting" aspect to see how well it could work before putting it in a main RE game but it seems a bit dumb to toss out the whole Resident Evil storyline for a spin-off or "alternative reality" game.

5 was awful. It's why I'm now weary of anything RE related. Especially giving it to mediocre devs.

RE 5 is the best co op game this gen. Love it. Absolutely beautiful.

Possibly, but they should have put a massive disclaimer on the case saying that they would ruin the single-player just to make co-op work.

I got RE5 around Christmas and have completed it around 4 times since then, it's addictive.

2 and 4 I passed and loved both. Hope they can do something to rekindle my interest in the next one.
