I just think the league is way more sensitive to it now. I know the players are a lot stronger and faster but some of these concussions are happening on nothing plays. Guys are going out with concussions on hits that are quite minor.

The technology to spot a concussion is so much more advanced and they are being discovered much easier. This just shows that COUNTLESS players competed with a concussion before and were fine. I am all for the players safety but I think this is a little too sensitive. I also say that because I am selfish and want to see the best players on the ice.

weather vane 12-15-2011 08:36 PM

Triple Naitch 12-15-2011 08:49 PM

6-0 Bruins win over Philly.

Missed the game earlier but watched a replay of the game.
:D Sequin and the Power Play scoring being good the last couple of games.

Canadiens also fired Martin as their head coach and only into the 3rd year on the job. 2nd time so far this season someone got canned on the coaching staff.

Emperor Smeat 12-19-2011 03:51 PM

Canadiens managed to hire a non-French speaking coach with Randy Cunneyworth and the Quebec government along with some fans already hate the decision. Boycotts for any products sponsored by the team is already being planned.

Gertner 12-19-2011 04:03 PM

Habs fans continue to amaze with their retardedness.

:wavesad:

Can you at least call them French Habs fans? I want no association with those morons.

Kapoutman 12-19-2011 04:17 PM

I want no association with either French Habs fans OR Fallen Angel.

El Fangel 12-19-2011 04:37 PM

:(

Hanso Amore 12-19-2011 05:41 PM

Stupid fucking French. Hate them.

Hanso Amore 12-19-2011 05:41 PM

Cant believe I allowed one to marry into my family.

JimmyMess 12-19-2011 06:29 PM

Being a Canadian..... yes.... stupid French. Can't fix stupid.

Kapoutman 12-19-2011 09:03 PM

Let's calm down on the French thing though. Stupidity knows no language. Look at Philadelphia fans.

El Fangel 12-19-2011 09:04 PM

I am surprised they are even capable of speech to be frank.

Emperor Smeat 12-19-2011 09:37 PM

Not a good start for the new Canadiens coach since he got a "Le Loss" in his 1st game and it happened to be against the Bruins which is going to make those that hated him even more upset now.

19-2-1 since the horrible start for the Bruins.

RP 12-20-2011 12:43 AM

Hawks v Pens tommorow. Epic

Hanso Amore 12-20-2011 12:48 AM

Sabres have called up their final 2 AHL Forwards under contract. They have no forwards under contact except 1 guy, kevin sundher in juniors.

So yeah, injuries are a problem.

BUT, we get Foligno vs Foligno in Ottawa tomorrow.

French Habs fans are terrible...... I fully support the move as Martin was nothing but an unispired troll...... They should have kept Muller.....

OssMan 01-01-2012 06:28 PM

lol at Jason Chimera giving the finger to Ryan Miller, still hate Jason Chimera though.

Corndad 01-02-2012 05:29 PM

Classic turning into a hell of a game.

Emperor Smeat 01-02-2012 05:38 PM

Yeah love the Winter Classic and easily the best thing done since the lockout years ago.

 Canadiens actually sent an apology to their fans about hiring a coach who doesn't speak French. They even hinted he could be fired at the end of the season due to only being an "interim" coach even though I think his contract is for 2 years.

weather vane 01-03-2012 11:33 PM

Blitz 01-03-2012 11:34 PM

So close, goddamn.

Gertner 01-04-2012 01:06 PM

hahahah Russia bitches.

Also, the Leafs can't score a damn goal for years on Roloson, and then all of a sudden they can't be stopped.

MVP 01-05-2012 09:29 PM

Bruins 9 Flames 0

Final Score

Emperor Smeat 01-05-2012 09:35 PM

15-1 in scoring the last 2 games alone for the Bs.

:D Seguin

weather vane 01-05-2012 11:02 PM

Are the Bruins even real this year? Like COME ON...

Blitz 01-06-2012 07:49 PM

NHLPA puts the kibosh on the proposed realignment. Everything shall stay the same next year.

Emperor Smeat 01-06-2012 08:38 PM

Is Winnipeg still moving to a new division next season considering the traveling is pretty bad for them in terms of division games?

Droford 01-07-2012 07:55 AM

Nope

Which is funny since one of the reasons why the players association would not sign off on realignment was because of travel concerns.

Quote:

As realignment affects players’ terms and conditions of employment, the CBA requires the league to obtain the NHLPA’s consent before implementation,’’ Fehr said. “Over the last month, we have had several discussions with the league and extensive dialogue with players, most recently on an executive board conference call on Jan. 1. Two substantial player concerns emerged: whether the new structure would result in increased and more onerous travel; and the disparity in chances of making the playoffs between the smaller and larger divisions. “In order to evaluate the effect on travel of the proposed new structure, we requested a draft or sample 2012-13 schedule, showing travel per team. We were advised it was not possible for the league to do that. We also suggested reaching an agreement on scheduling conditions to somewhat alleviate player travel concerns . . . but the league did not want to enter into such a dialogue.’’

Hanso Amore 01-07-2012 10:30 AM

And the Sabres continue to e a monumental bust.

New Owner. Same GM, Same Coach, Same Results.

Emperor Smeat 01-07-2012 04:40 PM

Vancouver showed why they are still at the tops on power plays considering all their goals today came from the PP and managed to get the Bruins to be hit with a lot of bad penalties.

Bruins still showed that Vancouver can't handle a physical team although Marchand and Lucic might be suspended a few games from all the fighting today.

Gertner 01-07-2012 07:10 PM

What a game between Vancouver and Boston.

The Fraze 01-08-2012 04:42 AM

5-2

How do you figure?

1) Canucks outhit the Bruins 24-17 in the game

2) The Canucks stood up to the Bruins in almost every single confrontation, and yet kept composed for the most part (while the Bruins succumbed to their emotions, took dumb penalties, and got slaughtered on special teams).

Long story short - your penis erects when you see other men and you have no idea what you are talking about here.

Having said that - the Bruins DID show that they are a superior team to Vancouver 5 on 5.

Gertner 01-08-2012 01:13 PM

Go Leafs.

As much as I hate Detroit, the puck possession clinic that the Wings put on in the Second Period was un freaking believable.
