i had no idea it started last night.....I guess I should watch it as it is one of my favorite shows.

The opening was probably parodying some internet video that I am not aware of.

ok just finished it....LOVED it overall even though nothing really happened.

I guess I was just glad to see the crew again. I love this show and it was good see everyone again.

Loved the episode. Had me cracking up at parts. I liked the intro.

Ok, this was probably what they were spoofing.... but its several years old already? Maybe this isn't it.

They've never really done anything like that without an explanation. I figured that they'd reveal it was for a Sabre commercial or something like that, but I guess they just did it for fun?
Dunno. Doesn't really matter but it was certainly out of the norm.

I enjoyed it but I found it far less funny than the average episode. I think they kind of mailed it in and settled for it just being an intro to the season.
I'm sure it will pick back up next week.

I also was legit disgusted by Erin dating that squid.

Yeah, I had totally forgot that Andy and Erin had broken up.

If the series doesn't end this season I think they should try to bring David Brent in the series as the new manager.

Gervais would be amazing, but yeah hed never do it.

Apparently Carrel is leaving with 4 episodes remaining this season, and it was pretty much confirmed Jim wont be the boss.

I could see them going with Gabe in the end.

Rumours seem to be that Dwight, Darryl, and Andy will all be after Michael's job.

Love Erin btw. She is so weirdly cute. Or cutely weird.

I think Andy would make a good boss (well as good a boss as Michael)

Seems that seed might have been planted last night with Darryl's sneaky purchase of an e-reader.

Honestly I think they need a new character for the boss. All the characters are too familiar with each other. Someone new comes needs to come in and shake things up.

Like Jo and Gabe did?

And Charles Miner?

I love Gabe. Of all the current characters, he's the one I'd most like to see take Michael's place. Jo's nothing but a recurring guest star. I thought Charles was an alright character, but too severe. He wasn't really anything except the anti-Michael.

The Office sans Michael Scott could go down as one of the most flawed ideas ever. He's so important to the show that I don't even know how they'd go about constructing an episode without him.

Toby would be a nice replacement too. It would be the ultimate slap in Michaels face in the end.

It could work cause its an pretty great ensemble cast, but they still focus way too much on Michael where that transition could be rough [in the viewers eyes].

Happened with Scrubs, and 70s Show lately. So, im weary.

With Michael gone it's kind of like Scrubs without JD.

Steve Carell carried this show. There is not a single person on this planet that can replace that role. I know he was a replacement in the first place, but still.

The first three seasons were amazing: some of the best stuff I've ever seen. Without Carell I just think the show will be like the newer seasons, except without any remnants the newer seasons have had of the first ones.

Any idea which episode will be Michael's last?

Will Ferrel is suppose to take Carell's place.

Or at least a four episode arc.
