Splitting Video Files
 

I’m trying to do some editing on Sony Vegas 8 Pro

It’s crashing whenever I try to load up this one file which is quite big (6 GB) I’m pretty sure it’s just because of the size of the file as I can load up 3GB stuff no probs.

I’ve tried burning the film onto a DVD then ripping it, but the quality loss is pretty bad

Is there a programme where I can literally just create 2 files with a 50/50 split so I’d be left with 2 3 gb files?
