Way to spoil his Rumble entry ESPN

So happy about this. He was messed up for a long while, but it's hard to argue with how great he was in WWE.

Angle had been telling people he can't take booking past March. So I don't know if this means that he's signed with the company in some other capacity. I still highly doubt he'll ever be cleared to wrestle another WWE match

Wonder if he'll mention TNA in his speech, seeing as he was there way longer than WWE

This year's class is going to be among the best if the rest of the rumored class ends up being true.


To be fair a bit, if the WWE ever uses the "as first reported" tag, it means they wanted it to get leaked out. They want to make it seem like news is actually covering wrestling like sports when in reality its just the WWE sending them stuff to announce.

This is good. I imagine he's going to be paid a lot of money not to wrestle. Here is your headliner, folks. I imagine he'll be a WWE Ambassador and that we'll be hearing "Medal" hit whenever they want to get those "You suck!" chants going to wake up the audience and do some goofy Kurt stuff from time-to-time. Maybe he will tell Rusev that he wants to have "Beastiality sex" with Lana? Probably not, but that sort of stuff.

He'll be in the video game and that is where you can get your Kurt Angle in all his glory fix. Specials will be on the WWE Network. Angle might even get a shot as a commentator for the WWE. He and Mauro would make a great team to call one of the WWE's tournaments or one-off specials. Or maybe they pair him with Michael Cole at first to ease him into things?

But yeah, I'm not holding my breath for a Kurt Angle wrestling match in the WWE -- although if he can pass the physical it will obviously be wonderful. Styles vs. Angle at WrestleMania is probably the meal ticket, with Angle doing the "Greatest of All-Time" thing against Styles' "I should still be champion" shtick.

This year's rumored class seems really "modern." Angle and Christian in the same year? Even DDP is kind of from that Attitude era. I know they like living and healthy guys going in, but I hope that there are some historical figures that go in. I think after a certain point I don't think Lou Thesz and Mildred Burke are expected to be with us anymore.

Meltzer is saying that it's more than just HoF. "He'll be around in some form".

If anyone's body is still somehow holding together after all these years, it would be Kurt Angle. The dude won a gold medal with a broken freakin' neck. I just hope the WWE is on the level with this.

That this could potentially be the WrestleMania card is fucking surreal. Obviously it's not going to go down this way, but to think that it could.

Probably replacing Foley as the GM of RAW if he's sticking around for tv stuff. RAW's been teasing Foley getting the boot almost since he got named to the job.

Okay, he's going in the Hall of Fame. But weren't the dirt sheets reporting there was nothing to the rumors of being an entrant in the Rumble?

Now I'm confused. But, nice that he's going in.

What Cool King said. Would have marked out like a mo fo if his music hit during the Rumble. Now I'm just waiting around for him to show up in some way no later than the Raw (or SD?) after the Rumble and if not, I'll be disappointed.

The closest Ill get to marking out like I would have is if he shows up tonight since this announcement still feels fresh. Plus, I'm sure a good percentage of the live crowd tonight won't have heard the news so they'll be hot in theory.

Love it. Well deserved. One of my favorite when he was going. Especially his stuff with Austin during the Alliance stuff.

I'm just glad he's back with WWE. That guy is one of the reasons i bought WWE network. His matches with Benoit are epic. His matches with Austin are amazing. His match with HHH was great. He was truly amazing.

God hope he's on tonight now to seal the deal.

Going to watch the show because of him hoping he returns tonight.

I'd be surprised if he could pass their medical tests considering for years they never wanted him back if it involved actual wrestling matches. He's been healthy since leaving TNA but also has a ton of wear and tear on his neck.

Last year the WWE flat out rejected his offer to return since they weren't willing to include wrestling matches in any deal offered.

Would the Rumble count? I mean it's a pretty safe environment.

I do hope he gets a moment in the ring to shine.

Please don't bring him back just do have him be GM or some shit.

I'd assume if he entered the Rumble, he'd probably have to win it like when the Iron Sheik won the Gimmick Rumle because of how messed up his hip/back was at the time. Not sure if the WWE would even want to risk anything happening to his neck if Angle got tossed out.

Then again if he can actually pass their medical testing, they probably wouldn't be worried about that.

Guys im sorry but we all decided like a month ago that Kurt wasnt HOF material.

We will formally notify his people; maybe mext year.
