Exactly what the title says, what do you think the worst finisher in rasslin' is? Be it from a kayfabe standpoint or otherwise, present day or, for Seth, the distant past.

The peoples elbow.

What was the stupid thing Orton and MVP did when they debuted, was the generic finisher in the games for a few years, Overdrive?

Tie between Hogan's leg drop and the cobra. Neither have any real impact nor are they "entertaining". For a finisher to be good it either needs to have impact and look impressive like the Stunner or F-5, or it needs to be over the top and fun like the people's elbow or the worm. Hogan's leg drop was just that... a leg drop, and the cobra is damn near on par with the finger poke of doom.

The Overdrive, yeah. MVP still does it in TNA too. Calls it the Play Maker.

Gotta go with Hogan's Leg Drop. As dumb as something like the People's Elbow or the Worm might be, they at least did big impactful moves to set them up- the Rock Bottom or a spinebuster, etc. Hogan just did either a lazy big boot or a generic scoop slam before dropping the leg, and it never, ever looked good.

Rey Mysterio's splash is pretty awful too. The smallest guy in the company falling on you should not be a finisher. Hell, Rey and the other luchadores don't really need KO finishers, since part of their whole deal is they're so fast and tricky that they can just roll you up for the win before you realize it. Having him just know a billion ways to do a hurricanrana is enough.

That move hurts him and makes him look obvious. WCW Rey Mysterio was way better, not a better as Kanyon though.

I don't know if the Hogan Leg Drop should get the vote. From a young age I assumed he could crush the trachea of his opponent.

There is at least a lot of fun with the Peoples' Elbow, The Worm etc... the crowd ate those up which made them good finishers in my opinion. Hogan's legdrop has become iconic and comes from a time where it was more realistic I guess. Hogan was billed as being 6'7, a big guy, so it was prob enough to stun a guy for the three count 20-30 years ago.

In modern times, hate the AA. It is just flipping a guy onto his back, and sometimes, there is no height to it at all. Seems like a backdrop should probably hurt more. When you are the top guy, your special should be memorable and provide memorable moments (Stunner), AA hasn't done that for me.

The 619 is a dumb move, but I don't think I've ever seen him pin someone off it directly. He always did something else for the actual finish- the West Coast Pop, the splash, or Dropping the Dime.

About the leg drop though, it can be argued that they get their ass beat so hard then the kick finally puts them down...the leg drop would just be for show and added effect.

Either way, I always thought the GTS looked really dumb.

The Overdrive

Been used by a lot of guys and always because Creative or they haven't thought of an actual finisher yet. More times its looked bad when done than good.

How is Hogan's Leg Drop the worst? It was friggen 1984! Christ, a regular suplex was a finisher then.

I hate the spear, and the Bo Dazzler is awful.

Let's be honest, Bo Dallas is the next Bruno Sammartino, but the BoDazzler is terrible.

The clothesline from hell is pretty unoriginal for a finisher even though it looked impactful when JBL used it.

I see him more as a Karl Gotch type legend.

Mandible Claw

The spear looks great when it's done by someone who looks vicious doing it, Rhyno/Goldberg type guys, Christian and even Edge hitting it as a finisher was meh.

I see the Mandible Claw as being more credible than the Abdominal Claw.

I always liked the heart punch, as stupid as it is.

Leg drops hurt, dude. Especially from 300lb dudes.

Worst finisher was Foley's mandible claw before he got Mr. Socko.

I particularly hate the Styles Clash. The setup for it is way too contrived and it has very little impact.

Canadian Destroyer

Love the Canadian Destroyer, you're a monster.

If the Canadian Destroyer actually destroyed Canada it would appeal to me.

Berserkers throw the guy over the ropes and win by count out.

Picture Miz taking the move. No chance that's happening. If you can't even destroy The Miz with your finisher then how are you going to destroy Canada?

Not sure when destroying Canada became something to factor in though.

A good finishing move should be able to destroy at least one country. Your better ones would be those that destroy planets or even solar systems.
