TPWW Better Wrestler Criteria

Didn't wanna turn one of the rounds into this discussion, but I'm just curious to see what do everyone judge their choices on?

I've seen people debate/argue that, for example in the latest round, "Jericho never reached the heights Cena did"... Yet, others, such as myself, base it purely on who they like more, whilst others base it on criteria such as that individuals legacy, or accomplishments etc.

So yeah, for me it's simply a matter of who I'm more of a fan for.

I'd say in order:

-Character/ability to draw people
-Promos
-In-ring body language
-In-ring technical wrestling

Sixx 11-18-2016 05:53 PM

the bigger the bulge the better they are.

Lock Jaw 11-18-2016 06:11 PM

How much of a "complete package" they are, essentially...... not just "in the ring", but on all the other factors and intangibles...... how big of a "legacy" or "impact on the business" doesn't really effect into my judgement.....

Sometimes on tough ones I look at it like "Alright, if I were promoting a fed which rassler would I want on my roster more?"

Yeah, you're right. I want to change my answer.

Destor 11-18-2016 06:30 PM

First i try to identify their strengths and then decide is ones strengths clearly superior to the other. If it isnt then i start "moving down the list."

Draw
Longevity
Legacy
Ring work
Promo
Etc

I propose that henceforth, during the month colloquially known as Nashvember, all matchup shall be Kevin Nash v. Kevin Nash.

Sixx 11-18-2016 06:56 PM

the dude down there is absolutely about to get bumfucked. sheik is already pulling down his speedos

Sixx 11-18-2016 06:56 PM

also, why are you clowns spelling it buldge?

Lock Jaw 11-18-2016 07:12 PM

Because Destor spelled it that way, and I thought that even if the spellcheck thing was saying it was wrong, it had to be right because Destor did it.

Ohhhhhh no thats a bad call. Spelling my absolute worst quality.

Shisen Kopf 11-18-2016 07:41 PM

Rasslin ability is all that matters. Well, and the hotness of Trish Stratus. Everything else doesn't matter.

Bad News Gertner 11-18-2016 07:45 PM

Kevin Nash
Draw
Longevity
Impact on the business
Ring work/mic skills

Shisen Kopf 11-18-2016 09:53 PM

Workrate is also very important. You could even say it's SERIOUS BUSINESS

Bad News Gertner 11-19-2016 12:01 AM

1. Pyro

Ruien 11-19-2016 06:40 AM

Whoever I feel like clicking when I see the damn thing.

Blue Demon 11-19-2016 05:38 PM

Whomever I like better really, and I'm a mark for more technical wrestlers generally. Although guys like Taker and Boogen may get the nod based on character....yeah....Boogen is a guilty pleasure.

Emperor Smeat 11-19-2016 05:52 PM

I usually just pick whoever I like the most and then make up some random stuff so it looks like it was a well thought out vote :shifty:

Wishbone 11-19-2016 09:48 PM

I look at it on a few levels. I'd say overall potential is the biggest thing for me, i.e. how far a wrestler COULD go. Then I factor in actual accomplishments. After that I start looking at each wrestler's overall talents such as in-ring skill, charisma, mic skills, look, etc and compare them to one another. Finally I factor in my own bias such as who entertains me more, or who I like more. Honestly the whole thing is pretty complicated for me.
