Positive Aspects of Pro Wrestling Today

I was thinking about making a negative post against today's professional wrestling product, but that is just way too easy these days. It felt like I was making fun of the retarded kid in class, or making fun of a parapalegic. So anways, list some positive, constructive things that you've seen recently in wresling.

=---=
I must admit, the one aspect TNA has done very well is develop a heel character for Chris Sabin. The entire way they have turned him has been fairly well concieved. I originally hated the way they ended his X title run so quickly, but they way TNA has established and made Sabin respond to that loss has made him stand out brilliantly.

Chris Sabin actually stands out among the rest of the X division wrestlers now. Hopefully, he will feud with Jerry Lynn and win, which should help establish him as a promoinant figure of the X Division. He should then go onto win the X title after that feud is complete.

You forgot about mentioning spoilers.(i had no idea Sabin was heel now) Guess that's a reason to watch TNA, would like to see where they go with it.

ROH. Top to bottom, the best thing that professional wrestling has going for it today.

Caged Heat18 11-21-2006 02:40 PM

Finlay. He's awesome.

Stickman 11-21-2006 02:46 PM

Way to ruin the wrestling forum. We can't have positive vibes on here.

Testicle 11-21-2006 02:51 PM

Is Danielson still the champion? I used to religiously follow ROH, but I've been too busy with College lately to check the results and too poor to buy the DVD's. The last show I've seen is the Danielson versus Storm.

Loose Cannon 11-21-2006 03:57 PM

LAX is the shit.

He's defended against Delirious twice, Jimmy Rave, Homicide, BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs, Colt Cabana twice, Sonjay Dutt, Nigel McGuinness three times(where Danielson also unified the World and Pure titles), Samoa Joe, SUWA, Roderick Strong, KENTA, and Austin Aries.

So he's been a busy man, and hasn't lost the title yet. He's got it on the line in a cage against Samoa Joe on December 8th, and if he retains there he faces Homicide at Final Battle.

CM Punk and that crazy little wrist warm up thing.

Chavo Classic 11-21-2006 04:55 PM

One positive about the current state of wrestling has to be the presence of competition. For the first time in five years there's someone else on mainstream television as an alternative, not to mention healthy and self-sufficient smaller feds such as ROH bringing up new and exciting talent like Punk, Joe, Danielson and Cobana. Whether TNA's decision to bring in the man responsible for the death of the WWE's last competitor will mean their presence will be shortlived will reveal itself soon enough.

I'd say the Mr. McMahon and his Ass cartoon segment coming Wed. should bring Pro Wrestling back to the promise land.:shifty:

Kane Knight 11-21-2006 05:31 PM

Misterrrrrr Kennedy....

DX are the best thing on Raw. I'm trying to put that in a positive sense.

Cryme Tyme. Nothing I likes more than a Minstrel show, niggggggggga!

Tag Teams on Smackdown.

Umm...Probably a couple more things.

...Nothing to see here.

Mr. JL 11-21-2006 05:35 PM

I must confess that I have not seen a single episode of Smack Down! all year.

I downloaded the Angle-Undertaker match from NWO '06 and I still think its the MOTY though.

M-A-G 11-21-2006 07:26 PM

You don't have to watch it just because it's on TV.

Fox 11-21-2006 07:42 PM

Cryme fuckin Tyme

Testicle 11-21-2006 07:55 PM

Lax and cryme time are tits

Innovator 11-21-2006 08:05 PM

-LAX, mainly Homicide getting everything he deserves

-ROH

-Bryan Danielson working through the bad shoulder and is still being amazing

-Homicide being the man in ROH

-the emergence of Nigel McGuinness

-CM Punk, theres a couple more spots on the bandwagon people, somewhere in the back.

Testicle 11-21-2006 08:09 PM

you can keep your space on the bandwagon

i know that you think im an idoit, but im not that impressed

please dont neg rep me :(

Mr. Nerfect 11-21-2006 08:23 PM

TNA has been getting some good shit going recently. The LAX have apparently been fantastic, Christian Cage has turned heel and Kurt Angle has joined. Plus they have Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Abyss, Rhino, America's Most Wanted, Eric Young, Alex Shelley, Austin Starr and Samoa Joe.

SmackDown! has also been amazing. Paul London & Brian Kendrick are awesome, and Gregory Helms and Matt Hardy have been on fire. That's not even mentioning Chris Benoit, Finlay, Chavo Guerrero and William Regal.

Avenger 11-21-2006 08:43 PM

two most positive things right now are

- LAX
- Survivor Series

As each day passes that makes one less "one last match" Hogan can have.

Fignuts 11-22-2006 02:10 AM

The tag team division in TNA.

Havn't had a decent tag division in wwe for years. Great to be reminded what great tag wrestling is like.

Mr. Monday Morning 11-22-2006 07:34 AM

in no order

-Delirious
-Nigel McGuinness
-CHIKARA, in general
-Kings of Wrestling :'(
-Jimmy Jacobs
-Paperazzi

Actually, while we're on the subject, I bought a cheap DVD recorder to replace my VCR. The "CM Skip" feature made Raw far more watchable. Up to 3 minutes of hands-free skip...:y:

Caged Heat18 11-22-2006 06:22 PM

The WWE superstar DVD's they have been coming out with for the past two to three years. I.E. Ric Flair, and the Bret Hart DVD.

Tb1 11-22-2006 07:33 PM

Competition, and Samoa Joe-Angle.

LoDownM 11-22-2006 08:37 PM

Booker T with the WHC. Even if it isn't as good as a gimmick as ghetto booker.

The Naitch 11-22-2006 08:53 PM

Burt Angle
