MOTHER OF FUCKING GOD JAWS SAID SHIT ON MNF. BURN THIS MAN! BURN THIS MAN TO HELL!

RP 09-13-2011 05:26 PM

Nice Uggs Brady. Fag.

DaveBrawl 09-13-2011 06:09 PM

If I hear one more thing about Tebow being 3rd string behind that waste of oxygen Brady Quinn my head is going to explode. I understand Orton, I don't necessarily agree with it, but I understand it. Brady Quinn...no, and the day they put that worthless hack in is the day this whole Broncos administration has waved the white flag.

Brady Quinn was great in practice? Splendid, when they decide to completely remove the defense from the field I will be the first one to ask them to put him on the field. Until then he shouldn't even be allowed out of the locker room, much less on the field for a game that counts.

FearedSanctity 09-13-2011 06:21 PM

Just can't get over people constantly shitting on Tebow saying he can't win in the NFL or saying how unproven he is.

Though he didn't do too great in his first game vs Oakland, he did show flashes. The next week vs Texans he led the Broncos from down 17-0 at the half to a 24-23 win. In the last week he almost led ANOTHER comeback vs San Diego, THE LEAGUE'S TOP RANKED DEFENSE, but fell just short, 28-33.

And what are Orton's stats post-McDaniels? 43 of 87 for 470 yds, 1 TD and 4 INTs in 2 losses.

COME ON, BRO

DaveBrawl 09-13-2011 06:44 PM

Maybe it's me, but I'm pretty sure that most guys are fairly unproven before they have made more than a couple starts. ESPN and most sportswriters don't seem to think that though.

I think Orton is a pretty good quarterback, but he is a guy that needs a decent team to get wins, and the Broncos really aren't that good offensively they do seem to be improving defensively though thankfully. If Manning were out for a large chunk of the season and the Colts traded for KO, they could make the playoffs I believe. That would likely be an ideal spot for him. Denver doesn't fit Orton's strengths and he and the team will likely struggle until something changes.

Skippord 09-13-2011 06:47 PM

honestly I would be fine with Brady Quinn over Kyle Orton

I'm pretty sure Brady doesn't have the personality of a sponge and can coherently throw a pass in a clutch situation better than Orton

also he is gorgeous

save_us.jakeplummer

FearedSanctity 09-13-2011 06:54 PM

Speaking of Jake, the more I think about it the worse I feel for him. Dude did nothing but win and Shanahan just dumped him. Consistently in the playoffs and make it to the AFC championship game, only to be dumped half way through the next year

DaveBrawl 09-13-2011 06:55 PM

I miss him more with every game.

Kris P Lettus 09-13-2011 06:55 PM

It's cause he was a long haired hippy..

Doesn't he play professional handball now??

FearedSanctity 09-13-2011 07:05 PM

Yeah, read some article a few months ago about how he leads this incredibly chill life now. Damn good read

Kris P Lettus 09-13-2011 07:06 PM

Yeah, think it was in Sports Illustrated..

Pretty sure I read an article about this at the dentist. Seems like a very down to earth person.

Skippord 09-13-2011 10:49 PM

was just thinking about how much I miss Jake Plummer the other day

love that guy

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-14-2011 02:09 AM

Sweet I clean sweeped all of my four fantasy games this week. I don't think I have ever done that before.

Skippord 09-14-2011 05:21 AM

might stab someone if I read another article saying Tebow isn't ready

borderline in love with that dude

Me and 7 of my buddies who are all die hard broncos fans have finally raised enough money for 2 downtown denver billboards to read: Bench orton play Tebow w/ a few different on the field photos. We are waiting to see how orton does this week vs the bungals. No we are not timmy fanatics we are true broncos fans for years and years and we are sick of seeing all the excuses for orton. So hopefully by week 3 the billboards will be up!

Giants sign Brandon Stokley. Decent move seeing as they got absolutely nothing out of their slot receiver options on Sunday.

About time they addressed replacing parts of the team that left in the offseason.

On Monday, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a night to remember. On Wednesday, he arguably had a press conference to forget.
Commenting on the team’s home opener, a late-afternoon kickoff against the Chargers, Brady said, “Yeah, start drinking early. It’s a 4:15 game. They have a lot of time to get lubed up, come out here and cheer for the home team.”
Brady was grinning, and the remark drew laughter from reporters. But those who profit from the sale of alcohol are compelled to point out that alcohol should be consumed in moderation. Otherwise, those who sell the alcohol may be liable for any mayhem created by anyone who has gotten himself “lubed up.”
And so Brady, through Patriots spokesman Stacey James, tried to clean up the mess. James said that Brady “wants everyone to drink a lot of water, stay hydrated. Drink responsibly.”
So fans should drink water responsibly?
Look, Brady said what he said. He was referring to the consumption of alcohol. So why not just say he was joking, and that he doesn’t condone drinking beyond the point of getting “lubed up”?
Tom Brady will get a pass on this from the media, because he’s Tom Brady. If other guys would have said, even in jest, that folks should take advantage of the late kickoff to get snockered so they’ll be loud and obnoxious in the stands, the complaints would be flowing like, well, water.

I think they might need the lube for what the Chargers are gonna do to them..

My Betting Picks Week 2 (Week 1 ATS 7-8-1)

Jaguars +9 @ Jets

Bears +6.5 @ Saints
Bills -3 vs Raiders
Redskins -3.5 vs Cardinals
Ravens -5.5 @ Titans
Seahawks +14 @ Steelers
Packers -9.5 @ Panthers

Buccaneers -3 @ Vikings
Colts +2 vs Browns
Lions -8 vs Chiefs
49ers +3 vs Cowboys
Texans +3 @ Dolphins
Chargers +7 @ Patriots (lock of the week)
Eagles -2.5 @ Falcons
Giants -6 vs Rams

too many road teams.

Raiders/Cardinals fall into the west coast team traveling to the East Coast for a 1pm game trap..West Coast teams typically lose straight up about 80% of the time in that situation. I do like the Seahawks which are the same case, but only because they're getting 2 Touchdowns and after seeing the Steelers play, no matter how much hell people think they will unleash on the Seahawks, I can't see it ending with them winning by more than 2 TDs.

Bears are better than the Saints, deal with it. No way should anyone bet on the Browns, even against a perceived crappy Colts team. The Dolphins have never beaten the Texans (0-5 all time), cant see that changing after the shallacking the Dolphins got on MNF and with the short week. Caveat: The 5 games were decided by a margin of 1,2,3,1 and 7 points...

49ers get no love as the Cowboys are undeserving Favorites on the Road off a choke job loss on the road..take the live home dog here.

Upset Special/Lock of the week: As well as both the Pats played..they are coming off a short week and their glaring problems on Defense will show up a hell of a lot better vs a competent Chargers team. Not to mention Rivers is 12-4 all time ATS as an underdog.

EDIT 3-10-3 ATS (10-18-4 Season)...horrible

Crimson 09-15-2011 07:06 PM

I agree about the Bears ..they will probably still lose but not by blowout. Brees might pull it off in the end though.

I like the Steelers in a blowout, they'll cover.

Hard to pinpoint the Raiders, I think that defense is for real and wouldn't be surprised if they stuff the Bills and hold them under 14 points. But then I wouldn't be surprised either if the Bills beat em handily so I dunno..i'll go with Oakland . I

Crimson 09-15-2011 07:09 PM

WTF...pushed the wrong buttons!

I dont think the Bills running game is good enough to tire that defense out. If Oakland loses it'll be because of their shitty offense.

And Cowboys should cover..the Niners just plain aren't that good. Nice defense might keep em in the game for awhile but 'boys should cover.

Tim Tebow thanked his fans for the support and said he'd rather see the money used towards the billboards go to charity.

Dylan Favre just wants an opportunity - and he wants the world to know it

By Matt Hinton

http://l.yimg.com/a/p/sp/editorial_i...to_know_it.jpg

Being Dylan "Yes That Favre" Favre isn't always as awesome as it sounds. Fans and media only seem interested because of your famous uncle. Scouts only seem interested in dismissing you because of your height. Then, in one of the biggest games of your team's season, you have to watch helplessly from the sideline as not one but two quarterbacks ahead of you on the depth chart are beaten senseless by LSU's defense.

http://l.yimg.com/a/p/sp/editorial_i...to_know_it.jpg

And when your 19-year-old brain decides to vent its frustration over a lack of playing time via Twitter, the whole "Favre" thing guarantees people are going to notice. And so they have: As of this morning, the plaintive appeal Favre posted in the immediate aftermath of Mississippi State's 19-6 loss Thursday night — "Is an opportunity too much 2 ask for?" — had been re-tweeted several dozen times and has already begun to make the rounds on sports blogs such as, well, this one. The more important question: Is it going to make the rounds this weekend in the coaches' offices and/or the Bulldog locker room?

Favre's frustration is as understandable as any third-stringer's in a loss. Starter Chris Relf was sacked three times, intercepted once and failed to get the offense into the end zone in more than three quarters of work. Backup Tyler Russell, allegedly the better passer of the two, was easily overwhelmed in the fourth quarter, taking one sack, fumbling on another and serving up an ugly-looking interception of his own. As usual against LSU's defense, no one comes out looking very good.

The alternative, of course, would have been to send the (officially) 5-foot-10, 195-pound Favre in for the first game action of his career against a defense that had already swallowed two more experienced passers whole, in a must-pass situation in which a comeback was already out of reach and the nasty LSU pass rush could pin its ears back with no threat of a running game to slow it down. Your competitive fire is noted, young Favre, but trust us: In this case, you definitely would not have been just having fun out there.
