I enjoy golf, not sure many others do. Anyway, I figured I'd start this thread for the ongoing PGA season. Discuss if you will.

I like golf.

Lets keep this thread classy "Black and White" or "Suit" avatars only please.

On that note, Adam Scott made quite a comeback this year to win....still a tiger fan though.

On the Tiger/Phil debate I fall on the side of Phil. Personally, I love watching Charl Schwartzel play.

This isn't PGA related, but on the LPGA tour a woman just won the first 3 majors. Fairly impressive feat, but I believe her Korean background/language barrier mixed with the fact that its women's sports contribute to the fact that this is not a widely heralded and discussed topic or headline.

The sport kinda faded when Lorena Ochoa put away her clubs.

Hopefully Inbee Park could put a shot back into the sport. I got tired of waiting for Michelle Wie and Paula Creamer.

Paula Creamer is a fine golfer, and at least she has won unlike Wie. Personally, I have watched a lot of LPGA (golf nerd, loser) and Ai Miyazato seems like she may be something on the horizon but she falls into the trap that LPGA has set for itself: foreign born, non-English speaking, women that cannot convey any semblance of charisma or personality. Until the LPGA can do a better job branding itself for American consumers, and the economy turns around (let's face it, for sports fans the LPGA is #9 or so on priorities) the LPGA will be fun for golf fans and purists but past the backburner for casual sports fans.

Angel Cabrera has been fantastic in majors this year. He has a legit chance to take it this Open Championship.

Mickelson seems to be making a last day push, Tiger has fallen out of contention

This news made my day today.

The last 10 holes or so were an absolute roller coaster with Mick, Tiger, Scott, and Stenson all in it with Poulter hanging around and Westwood melting down like Sergio in the Masters. Damn fine television if I might say so.

With all the random, first time major winners the past few years I kind of miss the Big 4 days of the early-mid 2000's with Tiger, Mick, Vijay and Retief Goosen.

Bridgestone Classic coming up this weekend. Tiger has won 7, but none since 2009. My $$ is on the field.

Henrik Stenson has been in the mix all year. He could win this one.

Tiger in the lead after 2 days. If he holds on through tomorrow he has this in the bag. Too bad it isn't a Major.

Tiger's round today pretty much sucked all the life out what Inbee Park could pull off by the end of the weekend.

I don't see Park doing it, she's already 8 back. But that probably could be surmounted in the LPGA

PGA Championship Weekend! Money is on the field over Tiger, and I'll throw out chalk and say Phil will take it. Second choice: Hunter Mahan.

Not jumping on the bandwagon yet, but Adam Scott has always had the talent and his front 9 yesterday was fantastic. Perhaps he could bookend the majors this year.

Not PGA but the Solheim Cup has been a great watch. Europe is running roughshod but some Americans are doing very well. Creamer, one of the best going right now, is looking awful.

Mickelson's round on Thursday fell off the past 2. Tigers not doing bad, but not great. Of course, Henrik Stenson is near the top, as per usual.

Rory McIlroy botches it with Caroline Wozniacki. Fuck him.

And then played a hell of a round. Fuckin right on!

Dustin Johnson suspended 6 months for positive drug test (for cocaine) and rumour has it he had an affair with a fellow PGA Tour member's wife....
