EA officially announces Crysis 3 is in development by Crytek.

The game will take place once again in New York City and it appears the bow seen in leaked box art images is one of the new weapons of the game. The main character is called "Prophet" who is going after the Cell Corporation.

The game has a Spring 2013 release date with at least a PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 version confirmed so far.

Without the drool-worthy graphics of the PC, Crysis has always struck me as mediocre.

Crysis 2 was pretty shite.

Heard a lot of bad things about 2. Never played it.

1 was fucking incredible. Kinda want to download and play it again even though I have beat it twice already.

Think Crytek could probably learn from any mistakes they made in 2 and make 3 a pretty awesome game hopefully.

In 2, I was at the point where I just wanted it to be over, so I just ran through the levels passing everyone cloaked for the most part.

That's disappointing :( Loved taking my time in 1. Was fun just fucking with groups of people and picking them off one by one.

I quite liked 2. Always doubted my PC could handle the original game so I gave the 360 re-release a go and didn't enjoy it as much.

Never got into this Crysis/Far Cry kind of game, pretty graphics but boring gameplay
