Hopefully CC has a complete game shut-out in him.

Skippord 10-12-2012 12:06 AM

so according to my rooting list I am now a Cardinals fan

goooooooooooooooo Cardinals

Innovator 10-12-2012 12:09 AM

Of course its going 5.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-12-2012 12:12 AM

Of course they had to mention Jeff Maier. That stupid little (now probably big) piece of shit.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-12-2012 12:44 AM

Congrats to the Tigers and whatever fans fans they on the board.

Shisen Kopf 10-12-2012 12:53 AM

That would be me. Hopefully the orioles beat the Yankees so tigers will have home field advantage

owenbrown 10-12-2012 01:08 AM

Officially rooting for a Tigers-Nats World Series

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-12-2012 01:09 AM

That is a violation of your normal sports rules. The Tigers have been in World Series in recent years.

You should automatically root for an Orioles/Nats world series.

owenbrown 10-12-2012 04:13 AM

but I am anti-Droford

ClockShot 10-12-2012 05:20 AM

Another extra inning game.

Hopefully Game 1 CC will return again, but Girardi needs to do something about A-Rod and Grandy.

ClockShot 10-12-2012 05:21 AM

I also see Verlander went the distance, threw 122 pitches, and got the win. Pretty much what we all predicted, right?

Innovator 10-12-2012 07:33 AM

Apparently NerF hasn't heard of a reverse jinx.

YOUR Hero 10-12-2012 09:40 AM

none of the games were aired last night

I coudn't beieve it

Innovator 10-12-2012 02:42 PM

A-Rod benched, Granderson somehow still in lineup.

Innovator 10-12-2012 03:20 PM

This is really going to test the limits of the NY media. If the Yankees don't get any clutch hits, they can't blame him.

ClockShot 10-12-2012 03:47 PM

A-Rod getting benched is good. I think Granderson is on the 1-link super short leash tonight.

Innovator 10-12-2012 03:49 PM

Jeter SS
Ichiro LF
Cano 2B
Teixeira 1B
Ibanez DH
Swisher RF
Granderson CF
Martin C
Chavez 3B

ClockShot 10-12-2012 03:58 PM

A few news and notes before we add a couple pages on during tonight's Game 5's. From mlbtraderumors.com

Shohei Otani is looking like the next big thing to come out of Japan this offseason. He's 18-years old, 6'4", 190 lbs. pitcher whose fastball can touch 99-100 MPH, and is fresh out of high school. As of now, all the NPB teams want him, and the Red Sox, Rangers, and Dodgers have sent reps over to Japan to court him into coming over stateside. The O's have interest as well, but haven't sent anybody yet.

Braves keep GM Frank Wren around. He signs a 2-year extension keeping him in Atlanta until 2014.

Finally, despite the Reds getting swept at home and out of the playoffs, ownership wants to keep Dusty Baker around. This was Dusty's last year on his deal, and GM Walt Jocketty planned on meeting with him today to offer him a short term deal. No word on if he took the deal or not.

Innovator 10-12-2012 03:59 PM

I'm going dark during the game. For everyone else's sake.

Red Sox planning on having a new manager before the annual GM meetings which occurs the day after the Presidential Election this year.

Also confirmed if the Blue Jays don't give an answer soon on Farrell's status, they won't bother wasting time going after him.

Yankees advance to the ALCS.

I say that with 100% confidence. 1 run is probably enough at this point.
