Are they coming in town to play the River Cats? Want to go check out a game
|
I really don't get the Braves. Start 0-4, then win 5 in a row, drop a game to the Mets, then beat them 2 in a row including a 14-6 ass raping today. Inconsistant as fuck Atlanta.

BOOM

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez is gonna call it a career. He's gonna retire monday with the Rangers.
Indians pitcher Jeanmar Gomez got suspended 5 games after hitting Mike Moustakas and causing the benches to clear a 2nd time. I guess with Baldy getting suspended earlier, think they're going for a bad boy image? |
I'm shocked that nobody took a flyer on Pudge. He seemed content settling for a backup catcher/mentor job before ST and he would have been perfect for that. Incredible defense still even at his age. Great career.
|
I have zero confidence when Tex is batting nowadays.
|
The Twins have won two games at Yankee Stadium. IN THE SAME SEASON!
|
I like Derek Jeter as much as the next Yankee fan, but do you think with all these home runs he's been hitting seem suspicious? Or did he simply spend the winter at Kevin Long's house?

Im going to go out on a limb and say that the Os trade for Jason Hammel has so far gone in the Os favor. Hammel had 10ks in 6 ip today, 2 ER.
He will be 2-0 in 3 starts with a 2.37 ERA after the Os win in about 5 minutes.. Guthrie is 1-1 with a 7.79 ERA.. |
I see The Grandyman has finally arrived with a vengence.
|
Funny how they were saying Granderson was due to break out any day.
|
I'm saying it now, the Braves are going to ride this hot streak until about mid July and then they'll hit their yearly "choke like a dog" stride and finish as the 6th seed in the NL.
|
Pudge retiring
Going to tonight's game to hopefully see Chipper play for the last time Childhood baseball card team slowly dying |
shut up
|
hey dave u watchin this game
|
No, the Cubs are causing too much psychological trauma for me this year. :'(
|
Happy Birthday, Fenway. Eat your cake and let's get this show going already.
|
Daaamn. BoSox and Yankees dusted off the relics today.
Yankees sporting the old Highlanders jerseys. |

I'll let you know if anything happens |
I turned the game on. I guess I have the pathological need to want to hate myself.
Then I can watch that really depressing MLB 12 The Show commercial and cry. |

For later. |
 Nice to see not even Fenway's 100th anniversary has the Red Sox motivated enough to play well.
|
dave the game is over
the Reds defeated the Cubs |
oh hey that was the Reds' 10,000th victory
neat! |
Watching all the old Red Sox guys coming out was pretty cool.
No fucking way Pumpsie Green is still alive. |
Yeah the pre-game festivities was amazing.
2 years from now its going to be the Cubs turn to celebrate their 100th anniversary and last I heard they are still trying to get an exception to be made so they can host it (AL year). |
|
There is nothing better than the Yankees defeating the Red Sox on 100th anniversary of Fenway Park.
Also, $35 for a plain white hat? |
Chipper better play today
|
He did.
And he had a pretty good game. And I had pretty good seats. And it was an enjoyable time. |
if by pretty good you mean the DBacks got submarined, then yes.
|
Go cubs go! Fml
|
I love Chris Volstad. No ..i really do.
I can't wait for today when I get to see Paul Maholm...yah! |
10 games out of the division before we've even played 20 games! GO CUBS GOOOOOOOOO!
|
RP & I might make this thread more pathetic than an Iop thread by the end of this season. :'(
|
That's not even possible Dave, you're good. For all we know, as soon as the Braves pull their yearly choke-athon, the Cubs will start a win-athon.
|
The Braves have looked scary recently. They never blow teams out, and I believe they've done it four games in a row
