Got a feeling Cowboys will lay an egg somehow -_-

Romo has been money lately but when he has a nagging injury is when he makes alot of mistakes..we'll see

Kris P Lettus 12-25-2011 08:50 PM

Did they say anything about his hand today??

#1-norm-fan 12-25-2011 08:57 PM

Everything I've heard is that his hand is fine. Nothing serious.

And yeah, I think Romo will be fine. I get the feeling Dallas is going to lose though. Romo's having a career year but there's only so many times he can bail out that defense in a game.

Kris P Lettus 12-25-2011 09:30 PM

The Packers suck..

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-25-2011 10:32 PM

Looks like Owen is going to win TPWW Fantasy Football this year. Congrats!

#1-norm-fan 12-25-2011 10:32 PM

lol

owenbrown 12-25-2011 10:33 PM

can't celebrate just yet unless Jimmy Graham has a bad game tomorrow night

owenbrown 12-25-2011 10:34 PM

because that's who my opponent has

Kris P Lettus 12-25-2011 10:50 PM

Jimmy Grahamreaper 123 yards 7 catches 2 TDs tomorrow night..

Boomer 12-25-2011 10:52 PM

The Falcons are in, thanks to a shitload of bad play and injuries from other wildcard teams. I'll take it.

Falcons have a fairly good chance of missing the Saints in the first round too, which I'm pleased about.

#1-norm-fan 12-25-2011 10:55 PM

It seems Kahlil Bell doesn't have a nose for the end zone.

If the Giants can win next week, I definitely hope the Falcons get the #5 seed. Both the Falcons and Lions have offensive weapons that can torch the Giants' secondary - but the Falcons have a more beatable defense. Giants/Falcons would likely be a shootout.

Boomer 12-25-2011 11:47 PM

Honestly, I think the Lions have a more beatable defense. If you manage the Lions' defensive front, they aren't a particularly good unit. The Falcons DL is completely solid, and their LBs are fantastic. The Falcons are statistically better overall too, but I know that doesn't mean a ton. The Falcons just struggle against high-scoring passing offenses, and the Giants have only shown flashes of that this year. But the Falcons almost never blow anyone out, so your team always has a chance.

screech 12-25-2011 11:59 PM

Down by 83. My opponent had Nelson and Cruz, who combined for 124. Have Brees, White, Thomas & Graham tomorrow. Pretty sure I can pull it off, but I'm nervous.

FearedSanctity 12-26-2011 01:29 AM

Sir Lettus, I need you to help me feel I have a shot at winning my fantasy championship game given your Saints expertise and I'm assuming at least decent knowledge of the Falcons.

I currently sit down 9 points with my only remaining player being Matt Ryan, meanwhile my opponent has Colston and Julio Jones left. I'm obviously pretty boned, but any shot either team could shut down these two? Passing to Jones wouldn't hurt too much given that I have his QB. I know Ryan can always pass it to White and Gonzalez and Brees has several other options. Basically do I have any shot at Ryan putting up decent numbers while Colston and Jones get held to something minimal? Or are both teams secondaries at the level to where them having a decent game is unavoidable?

Please give me some hope :(

screech 12-26-2011 01:33 AM

Having a Saints receiver is a crap shoot. You never know which guy is gonna be "the guy" on which night. You could get lucky there.

Example: The few times I started Meachem, he had like 8-10pts if that. Last game of the regular season I sat him, he had 60. They can have big games, but it's different every week who pads the stats.

MTH15 12-26-2011 02:15 AM

We need to beat these mother fuckers mortal combat style Im talkin bout Drew Brees staggering in the pocket "FINISH HIM" BOWWWW William Moore kills em... I just have a deep hatred for the saints because they keep beating us and it wont stop...... til tonight ;)

RP 12-26-2011 06:33 AM

The Giants need to bring back

BALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIIIN!

I've had Colston since like week 3 when someone dropped him apparently thinking his injury was more serious and I picked him up and started him two weeks later.

He hasn't been on fire every week but he's definitely consistent.

Of course, now that I say that, he'll suck tonight for me.

#1-norm-fan 12-26-2011 10:30 AM

The Giants win the division if the Dallas games ends in a tie. If Dallas can't win it, my ideal situation is for it to go to OT and the Giants just play ball control and run the clock looking like douchers so it ends in a tie instead of winning. Make it as anti-climatic as possible for those fuckers.

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2011 11:45 AM

As Screech said any Saints WR/RB is a gamble cause Brees spreads it out so much..

Roddy White will get most of the double coverage just because he is their biggest threat and because of the things he has said about NOLA in general.. Jones has been spotty all season.. Saints D has given up some big plays and will prolly give up 2-3 30+ yarders tonight as well.. They have that bend but don't break mentality..

Your best bet is Matt Ryan mainly cause of the few big plays.. Also, we've been shutting down the run ever since the Rams game.. Look for the Saints to get up early, and if they continue to shut down Turner, Ryan will have to air it out, to play catch up.. Just hope he goes to Roddy White and not Jones..

You have an ok chance. If the Saints score big early, the Falcons will have to play catch-up through the air. This is likely. I can tell you that the Falcons tend to try and beat the Saints with ball control, and it eventually stops working, so I would expect a decent fantasy game from Ryan. And any points Julio scores will be negated mostly by Ryan. It's certainly possible you could come back.

I've got love for Kris P but I need the Falcons to "whip dat ass." I'd rather we not have to play any of our starters against the Rams.

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2011 12:21 PM

Saints have not played this week, yet still lead the league in yards..

#1-norm-fan 12-26-2011 12:21 PM

So after reading an article on NFL.com about lack of quality backup QBs citing Indy and Chicago as teams that failed based solely on losing their starter, I decided to do some math.

Teams that have lost their starting QB to injury at any point this season are 25-35 without them and 47-49 with them.

If you take out Indy, teams whose QBs have sat due to injury are 23-22 without them and 47-49 with them.

Interesting. Outside of Indy's debaucle, teams actually have a winning record with their starting QB injured and a losing record with him playing.

Nark Order 12-26-2011 12:22 PM

Speaking of Indy, where has Requiem been all season?

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2011 12:24 PM

oh snapple

DaveBrawl 12-26-2011 12:29 PM

I know in my league I somehow made the title game and am playing a guy with Brees, Colston and Curtis Lofton left whereas I have Darren Sproles and a 71 point lead. I'm a little worried since Brees threw down 85 last week with the scoring system we use and 59 the last time they played Atlanta. He's only scored under 50 one time since the middle of October. I had a 100 point lead before Jordy Nelson went off last night.

Need Brees & Graham to have a huge game.

Hoping for at least 10 from Pierre Thomas and at least 100/1 from Roddy White (unrealistic maybe, but I'm down big).

FearedSanctity 12-26-2011 01:33 PM

Thanks, dudes. This is for the title in my league with 11 other friends. I NEED these bragging rights after consistent 4th place finishes three years in a row.

Kris P Lettus 12-26-2011 01:36 PM

Speaking of Fantasy Football, I heard a thing on ESPN radio about these big money leagues, that are completely fraud.. Like a dude won last year, with a $1200 buy-in, and supposed to have won $300k.. He got nothing..

Rex Ryan needs to shut up.

His act has gotten old, and it puts undue pressure on his team.

It's always like he's trying to overshadow the team, anyway.

The local Comcast Sports Network had an interesting debate a few minutes ago regarding the Patriots options for Week 17.

The Patriots might decide their playoff route based on when they want to play Pitt or Baltimore. It also assumes both Houston and Pitt/Baltimore advance to the next round.

If they want Pitt/Baltimore early, then keep the #1 seed and probably play the other at New England for the potential AFC title game.

If they want Houston, then lose and let Bal/Pitt win to take the #1 seed. The Patriots would lose home field for the potential AFC title game but in return only have to worry about facing either Pitt or Baltimore and not both during the playoffs.

ClockShot 12-26-2011 08:56 PM

Watching the MNF game right now and noticed one of the Saints players on the o-line is wearing christmas color socks. Red on one leg, green on the other.

Wonder if Goodell is gonna make him pay for that?
