The firmware came out. It's a bit faster to boot games, you can send the Wii BC to the gamepad, but not play using the gamepad controls and the eShop got new music.

There's more, like support for USB keyboards, but no-one gives a fuck.

Wii U Karaoke will be a free download for 1 hour with 1,500 songs at launch.

You can't buy the whole fucking game to own though, just timed passes up to 30 days.

Ubisoft states the Wii U version of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag won't be getting any DLC. It also ties into a previous announcement confirming no Season Pass for the Wii U version either.

According to developer Ripstone, the Wii U allows cross-platform play to be possible if developers choose to do so with no restrictions on other platforms used.
