Darksiders ends up not in the dark side of the list as a solid, strong 4.0 average score keeps its head above water among some fantastic company.

The weeks are whittling away as we near the 200th edition of this little party. I'm down for more. Well, I have to considering I already did this on the other forums yesterday. Ugh, just look at the .gif....

Yup, that's right. We're finally exploring the shoot-'em-up genre here. No, it's not some first-person romp through Hell or a nuclear wasteland or anything like that. It's old school arcade side-scrolling action pitting your piloting skills against the invading forces of extraterrestrial annihilators! It's R-Type! There are plenty of games with this style and premise, but does R-Type rise above them in a significant way? That's for you to decide!
