This is the "Hard Times" of the modern era, and no one will ever see it.

The Miz just earned a huge fan LOL WOWWWW that was great.

The Miz was fucking intense. Holy shit!

Daniel Bryan looked like a huge pussy in that.

Really hopes that leads into an amazing storyline for Smackdown. Would feel very refreshing for the roles to be reversed instead of the typical heel boss vs face champ/underdog.

It's great but like I said in the Smackdown thread it kind of teasing a Bryan return a bit. If he's truly done it's not to smart to tease that stuff but I liked it.

Well this is gonna start a storyline, it will be seen.

I saw someone suggest that it should lead to Bryan naming a new number 1 contender for the IC title and have it be Samoa Joe or someone of that calibur. Someone who will look like they are properly kicking the shit out of the Miz.

I echo above, that should have been on the show not some obscure after show that only a fraction of the fans will watch.

Actually, make it Rhyno and have Miz win. Bring up Joe later for when Miz finally loses.

Meh I didn't enjoy this as much as you all seem to have. It was kinda neat seeing Miz get all intense, but it wasn't groundbreaking or anything in my opinion.

Let's not forget the last time Miz was shooting on people retiring due to concussions.

He's an authority figure. He can get revenge in about 213984809234 ways. Hell, he can even put The Miz in a Yes lock sometime since that's no concussion risk.

To me, the whole thing writes itself (and I'm not commenting on match quality because it would probably be shit regardless with mix).

That was good stuff. To address some questions:

Why is this on Talking Smack? Because they want people to subscribe to the WWE Network to be the first to catch moments like this. What you have is the perfect avenue for stars to sell their personalities in a less scripted environment.

Where will this go? Where it should have gone as soon as Bryan cheekily drafted The Miz just to get the IC Title on SmackDown. The historic tensions between Bryan and The Miz can be exploited for so much drama. Does Bryan purposely look for someone to crush Miz now? Does Miz point out that Bryan has become everything he fought against when he became the Intercontinental Champion? Does Bryan force Maryse to sign an active competitor's contract to continue to appear there?

Miz showed that he still has that 2010 level work in him -- people forget how good he was in the second half of that year. His stock went up. There were also very likable elements to that promo. But he also made the IC Title seem like the focus. He could very easily hold that belt until Mania at this point.

Bryan should look like a pussy since he can't wrestle anymore and Miz is an active performer.

Where the hell has THIS version of The Miz been lately?! That was amazing.

I loved that. Bryan and Miz should feud forever.

I kinda love that they never resolved the original feud from Bryans debut onwards. The same issues just keep coming to the surface.

Always has been. Most underrated guy on the roster for five years. WWE forgets him. 95% of the IWC forgets him.
