Gold Standard, take it from someone who had Iverson last year (Pistons). He is nothing more than a cancer. When he doesn't get his way, he cries. If he were to struggle in NY, D'Antoni would regulate him to the bench. AI would have been released by the end of the season again, would have played for 2 teams this year, made about a million dollars to whine and cry about not getting enough playing time. Just trust me, AI is past his prime and needs to accept that he is either coming off the bench, or he is retiring.

The Gold Standard 11-20-2009 03:33 PM

As a Knicks fan, what else is there for me to look forward to this season. We are terrible. It would only be a one year deal and if he sucks, it can't be as bad as it is now. The Pistons were in a different position when they had AI then the Knicks are now. I understand your feelings about him, because I would be the same way if I were a Pistons fan. But, AI playing everyday is the type of player the Knicks need for this year to put butts in the seats and get some more TV ratings. If he pulls the same thing he did in Memphis and Detroit. they release him and lose nothing because they are back to where they are now.

Harrington is a bright spot. I love it when he gets on fire and can hit a dozen threes.

See that is where you are wrong. What the team is doing now, is trying to build chemistry with the players that are there for the long term. Iverson would come in and destroy that. Just saying is all. He will stunt the growth of the players. You need growing pains, and losing will do that for the Knicks. The possibility of having Lebron there next year will greatly enhance those players skills.

McLegend 11-20-2009 08:41 PM

Iverson :(

Bring him back.

The thing is though, the majority of these guys won't even be back because of their attempt to get LeBron and 2 other key free agents, so there is no chemistry to build because everyone will be a FA except, Hill, Douglass, Gallinari, Chandler and Curry. The other 10 have a strong possibility of going somewhere else and they will probably get rid of Curry somehow, so there are only 5 guys there who are adequate at best.

Emperor Smeat 11-21-2009 02:30 AM

Knicks haven't had good chemistry since maybe the last year of Ewing. Since he left, they only made the playoffs 2 times and only went one time with a 40+ win season (2000-2001).

Problem is either they try to rebuilt and then tear it down after 1-2 years when a normal rebuild is a good 3-5 years or they kill their cap with a few bad signing each year which leaves them with no room for trades or improvements. Both end up hurting the team mentality and chemistry.

Emperor Smeat 11-22-2009 04:03 PM

What a buzzer beater by KG to end the game against the Knicks. Crowd went dead quiet when it occurred.

RP 11-22-2009 07:18 PM

same old stinking pacers

SammyG 11-23-2009 12:26 AM

Lakers.

SammyG 11-23-2009 01:16 AM

Yes. that just happened.

RP 11-23-2009 05:03 AM

what the fuck is he staring the ref down for. The ref just let him make an illegal shot. If i was the ref, i woulda told him to take his rapist ass off the court with that crazy shit.

Juan 11-23-2009 05:09 AM

Those kind of shots aren't illegal anymore, for the record.

Champion of Europa 11-23-2009 02:34 PM

Jesus Christ, Pacers. Get your shit together. We were doing so well and then we lose to goddamn Charlotte. Badly.

Let's hope we can get back on track in Toronto, but its gonna be hard. Bosh has been a beast. If anything, we'll beat the Clippers back home.

DaveWadding 11-24-2009 01:26 PM

Think its hilarious how he draws a double and still shoots over the backboard instead of passing to Farmar for the wide open 3.

Buzzkill 11-24-2009 05:05 PM

Oden 24/12 in 27 mins sonnn

Stop nitpicking. Farmar has one of the most inconsistent 3 pointers on the team, sans Sasha Vujacic.

DaveWadding 11-24-2009 05:38 PM

I dont give a fuck, he's wide open.

SammyG 11-24-2009 06:03 PM

I'm sure you have played a lot of basketball in your life, Wadding, and could have had the vision to dish that to Farmar.

They have to win this game tonight. If they dont win tonight, i'm writing them off.

You should stick to worrying about the Suns.

C'mon, the pass to Farmar had a lesser degree of difficulty that the shot.

DaveWadding 11-24-2009 08:18 PM

and besides what the fuck does my skill on a basketball court have to do with Kobe being a ballhog?

Juan 11-24-2009 08:31 PM

lol not the ballhog argument. come on man

DaveWadding 11-24-2009 10:14 PM

I'm just saying. It was a cute shot, but if I were the Zen Master, I'd kill him for not seeing the help coming and hitting the open guy.

Juan 11-24-2009 10:20 PM

I'm sure you'd be saying the exact same thing if Steve Nash had made a shot like that.

DaveWadding 11-24-2009 10:29 PM

Steve Nash wouldn't TAKE a shot like that.

Juan 11-24-2009 11:07 PM

ok you win. Kobe is a rapist and a ballhog.

Emperor Smeat 11-25-2009 01:18 AM

Mavs have to be embarrassed after today's game. Lost to Warriors who only had 6 players available.

LOL ESPN, Warriors end game on 24-7 run and had 3 guys play whole game.

SammyG 11-25-2009 04:12 AM

... and one of them was the Space Cadet.

owenbrown 11-25-2009 09:25 AM

I'll admit that was a good shot by Kobe but it looked like he stepped out of bounds

Loose Cannon 11-25-2009 01:32 PM

why did the Warriors only have 6 guys? They're not some rec team. lol

SammyG 11-25-2009 03:08 PM

There is absolutely no way he stepped out of bounds before the shot. Open your eyes. It's not even close.

Injuries and/or foul outs are the only answers. Plus they are the Warriors.

another step to his right from looking at the backboard cam he could have been called out of bounds but still a good shot

SammyG 11-25-2009 04:01 PM

Well, lol, another step to the right and yeah he's out of bounds. But he... didn't... take... one....

Emperor Smeat 11-25-2009 06:03 PM

Rumors of Iverson going to the Celtics end since he is officially retiring at least for rest of the season and most likely his career is over.
