2 out of 3 falls
 

I finally got around to watching last weeks impact wrestling (god bless the DVR!) and the opening match was a 2 out of 3 falls match for the tag titles.. This got me wondering.. Has there ever been one of these matches that only had two falls? Or have they always gone person x wins fall one person y takes fall two?

Briscoe Brothers in ROH won a few 2 out of 3 fall matches in 2.

Mick Foley vs Ric Flair in 06 or 07

MVP beat Benoit 2-0 for the US title (as wiki as just told me) Judgement Day 2007

Beth Phoenix vs Candice Michelle

Angle and Benoit was 2 straight at Insurrextion 2001 too I believe

Yes, there have been 2 out of 3 Falls Matches that have ended with just two falls in previous times. Hope this clears things up, MIZantine Empire.

I don't know about other parts in the country, but my dad always told me every match used to be Best 2 out of 3 falls years ago. I imagine they had many that ended in 2 falls.

Mexico has them constantly

UK was all 2 out of 3 falls at one point.

Interesting fact, when my mom and I "wrestle" it's best 3 out of 5 falls. Lot's of flour involved.

Back in the 70's and 80's, most of the tag and multiple man matches were 2 out of 3 falls....

I wonder how many people asked that question before me.
