Router/Network problem

If I connect my laptop direct to the router via ethernet, it works fine, but I can't connect wirelessly. My home network shows up in the "available networks" list but has no signal strength and wont connect.

I've tried resetting my modem and unplugging the router, but nothing.

Any suggestions? I did a quick search on google and I found something about changing the channel on my router? I dunno

Shisen Kopf 11-13-2012 07:45 PM

"Your" home connection, sure it is!

Juan 11-13-2012 07:48 PM

He's just trying to look up faggot spics giving it up the ass to each other.

Shisen Kopf 11-13-2012 09:32 PM

He probably is looking up how to get food stamps for all his cousins who just illegally entered the USA.

Juan 11-13-2012 11:39 PM

Man you guys are hilarious

Gertner 11-14-2012 03:18 AM

He's probably looking for area to set up tramoplines so he's 50000 brothers and sisters can just bounce over the fence.

We really should report Juan. He's taking the place of a poster who was here legally.

Does your router have external antennas? Are they properly connected?

Have you tried with other wireless devices? Do they work fine?

Did you actually try changing the channel? You could have interference going on. Look up the process for your router's UI.

Something something something comment about ethnicity and sexuality.

El Fangel 11-21-2012 07:54 PM

Try this.

Unplug router
Disable wireless card
Enable wireless card
Plug in router
Refresh list of networks

If it doesn't work, do a manual connection.

Gertner 11-22-2012 02:49 AM

Have Fallen Angel threaten to sweat on it while eating a steak to get it to work.

Shisen Kopf 11-22-2012 08:52 AM

How many Mexicans does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Just Juan! Stop stealing internets.

Autobahn 11-23-2012 07:57 AM

I had a similar problem. I connected directly via ethernet, entered http://000.000.000.000 (enter your isp address where the zeros are), and followed the prompts to configure the router this way.

Or just talk to it about steak.

"Oh my God, I've just discovered the greatest recipe ever! Fire! You take some wood, then you bang a couple of rocks together until sparks like, like the wood up. Then, you stick the meat on it. So delicious."

No it has no antennas.

I've also tried to connect my phone and iPod, but my network doesn't even show up on those devices.

Yeah, I've tried changing the channels to 6 and then 11, but nothing.

I tried asking this question at the Belkin Community boards and all I got was an article that told me to change the channel, which I had already tried, and moving the router away from the floor and away from walls, which I tried just now and that didn't do anything either.

Gertner 11-27-2012 01:34 AM

Faggot Spic.

Shisen Kopf 11-27-2012 05:56 AM

He probably got taco sauce all over his router

Gertner 11-27-2012 08:51 PM

Did you try throwing your burrito at it?

Shisen Kopf 11-27-2012 11:39 PM

Not that he can see this but I think I know what's happening. Juan and his brothers and cousins and uncles and second cousins and second uncles and third cousins are all trying to get online at the same time. It's overloading their Mexican made router which is taking a siesta.

Gertner 11-29-2012 12:45 AM

I didn't realize plywood shacks had internet access.

Shisen Kopf 11-29-2012 07:19 AM

they don't live in a shack, them mexicans dont know how to build shit. They probably all share a shopping cart

Shisen Kopf 12-18-2012 07:46 PM

Did you ever fix your router Juan?

Bad News Gertner 12-19-2012 03:07 AM

Juan's tried everything he knows. Running over it with a lawnmower, driving around with it on a lawnmower, putting it on top of a lawnmower while pushing the lawnmower.

Shisen Kopf 12-19-2012 10:28 AM

I think the problem is that when you win a router out of a piņata (what the fuck is that squiggly thing over the n?) is bound to be fucked up. Duh!

Shisen Kopf 01-09-2013 11:02 AM

I hope we helped you to fix your router Juan. You can thank us at anytime. Also please apologize for your bullying.

Shisen Kopf 01-10-2013 07:38 AM

I used to think that but then I saw this passage from the Bible:

Without the tilda Swinton or whatever you couldn't do this ASCII, which would upset Beth82 a lot. 8====D~~~~

Mister King 01-21-2013 07:10 AM
