Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Adrian Neville
Is there any chance that this build up with Kevin Owens will lead to a triple threat match?
Seeing how he took out both Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville in 7 days, I'm thinking that maybe a great idea would be to have Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville going both against him, but than not trusting each other as well, since Sami Zayn won the championship at TakeOver. So than they get into each others faces, and that it can be announced that their match turns into a Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship in the next NXT TakeOver event... |
I was kinda getting the impression that Adrian Nevelle was on his way to the main roster, but I'd be cool with that scenario.

Yeah. I assume it ends up with Owens just taking Neville down before he heads to the main roster to build up anticipation more for the Owens-Zayn showdown.

I'm expecting Neville to be on the main roster by the Rumble - possibly as this year's NXT mystery entrant ala Rusev last year. He could do a cool spot or two.

Could happen. I don't see them calling up Neville until after Mania.
|
Considering the next special isn't until Mania week, don't see Neville staying for that long. Agree with Vito about him being more likely to get called up by the Rumble.
Wouldn't be surprised if the powerbomb Neville took to the apron was NXT's way of writing him out of the show (haven't read the spoilers for the month). |
I think a one-on-one would be better, but Neville should have a "rematch". So maybe they do work him more into the feud and do the triple threat.
As for Neville getting called up..... dunno.... I'm at the point of hoping people DON'T get called up to the main roster. Don't see Neville having any success on the main roster.... while on NXT he feels like a "huge deal". |

I haven't really watched any NXT until this past special but I have to say I am very impressed by the presentation. I enjoyed the special wayyyy better then TLC and this past week was great as well. I really loved the old school type of angle they ran with the Owens heel turn and every other segment felt important. I couldn't wait to see Thursdays episode after the live one.
I agree with Neville getting called up by Rumble as he's been in the running for a while now to be called up and there's really not much more for him to do on NXT anymore if he's got the "big leagues" in front of him. But from a fan standpoint, I hope he stays cause I think he'll get lost in the shuffle on Raw/Smackdown and NXT is much more entertaining to me right now and he's valuable to the roster. |

I'll remember. I always remember.

Unless, of course, I forget.

Which also happens.

I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

If they had held off on the Owens heel turn, I'd have liked to have seen the Zayn vs. Neville rematch be 3 Stages of Hell: Pinfall Only, Submission Only and the third fall, if necessary, a Ladder Match. The set-up is that Zayn wants to prove that the first win wasn't a fluke. He wants to make Neville concede that Zayn is better. The Ladder Match would be a reference to how Neville first won the title.
Neville would win the first fall with a Red Arrow or Imploding Star Press. This would create the drama that maybe Zayn can't back it up against Neville. A Koji Clutch leads to Zayn evening things up. Then Zayn pulls down the title to win. A great way to send-off Neville from NXT. Owens could have initially feuded with Tyson Kidd, who would want to get back into NXT Title contention now that Neville is no longer champion. Owens could have beaten him with Kidd's own Sharpshooter. |
