Gonna put this here for posterity just in case I'm actually right for a change:

Thinking about The Wyatts and who they first attacked, followed now with "The Devil made me do it".

I'm guessing that "The Devil" is actually

There's actually a real devil, he's called Satan. You should find out about him.

WWE(R) Studios and Film Roman Announce "CAMP WWE" Irreverent Animated Web Series

STAMFORD, Conn. and BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - November 4, 2013 – WWE Studios (NYSE:WWE) and Film Roman announced today that they have entered into a co-financing and co-production agreement to produce up to thirteen, three-minute webisodes of a new animated series entitled CAMP WWE. Mike Benson of ENTOURAGE and THE BERNIE MAC SHOW will script the series.

From WWE STUDIOS and FILM ROMAN, the animation studio behind THE SIMPSONS and KING OF THE HILL, comes an irreverent new, adult comedy series about what the biggest, most outrageous WWE Superstars® were like as kids. CAMP WWE follows these unruly tykes as they body slam their way through their formative years. Proving to be a nightmare for teachers and other kids, their exhausted parents pack-up their future WWE Superstars with their masks, chains, kneepads and security blankets and send them off to Camp WWE, to be transformed into model citizens by the most terrifying counselor who ever lived, Mr. McMahon.

"Film Roman has been involved with some of the most well-known and humorous animated series," said Michael Luisi, President WWE Studios. "They are the perfect partners for WWE Studios to capture our Superstars in a truly unique and fun way."

"CAMP WWE is a new and exciting project with a great creative team for Film Roman to be working on with WWE Studios and we are very bullish on its prospects for success. With a combination of their unique personalities, distinctive characteristics and huge built-in loyal fan base, WWE Superstars make for ideal animation subjects in CAMP WWE," said Dana Booton, General Manager for Film Roman. "We are very pleased to be working with WWE Studios and hope that it will begin a mutually beneficial, long-term business relationship."

Bradley Buchanan negotiated the deal on behalf of WWE Studios. Marc Barson and Yvette Thomassian negotiated the deal on behalf of Film Roman.
Reads like a threat more than a press release.

#1-norm-fan 11-04-2013 05:26 PM

I'm glad it's going to be irreverent. I wouldn't have watched it if the WWE's press release didn't specify that it was irreverent.

Some Florida high school football squad jobbed by a 36-point spread after Nature Boy gave them a "pep talk", and I'm sure a few players did a Flair flop on the field. I just hope Ric's bad luck doesn't wash onto their personal lives or some of those footballers will divorce 4 or 5 times by the time they're 60. :)

Here's something that WCW, actually, any other wrestling company that is not WWE don't get. Production.

The show opening, after Vince's promo, doesn't show Sting! Wasn't he supposed to the face of the company? Sure, you get to see a lot of wrestlers, but its only a few of them that actually seem 'appealing' to the average layman. You see several hoss shots, but nothing screams 'superstar'. And who do you see just before / after the WCW logo? Chavo Guerrero? Uh, who?

Rant. Over.

Chavo Guerrero.

Y'know, that guy from the famous Guerrero wrestling family.

Sting wasn't even on TV at the time of the Final Nitro. His appearance was not really a surprise, but he was written off TV awhile back from it so he shouldn't have been on the intro.

Yes, all of the variant covers for that comic are homages/parodies of classic comics:

http://wrestleshare.com/?dm=S89P

I'm not finding the exact originals for the other covers, but the Cena vs Henry one looks like a Spider Man, the WWE Champ Cena one I think is a Super-Friends, and I'm not sure what the Triple H one is.

Poit 11-05-2013 08:02 PM

That's great.

Narc & Nowhere Man can probably help point out the other homages.

He looks more like a mulletless Super Macho Man than he does Brodus Clay.

WWE should stop being cheapskates and hire a business agent in each jurisdiction where it sells stuff.

Couldn't find anything on Netflix, so decided to put the most recent impact on. Thought I'd just hit a new low, but then Bad Influence came on to investigate dressed as Sherlock Holmes and suddenly life is OK again.

Poit 11-06-2013 01:07 PM

Bad Influence was pretty amazing last week, but their last segment just sorta dragged on, I thought.
