Although Booker is the more accomplished of the too, which is probably because he's been wrestling for like 20 years, I still say Punk has a better complete package as a far as what I define a wrestler to be.

While this isn't a knock against Booker, I don't think he is good enough to be the top guy of a promotion he deserves to be in, he could be like top guy in RoH, but right now RoH is beneth him. But in a promotion that does deserve him, there is no doubt he is semi-mainevent or higher.
Punk on the other hand is only uppermid card at best right now. Punk may one day be a top dog, but he isn't right now. They can both put on an entertaining match, but Booker is a far more complete packaged. Plus Booker has taken some really shitty gimmicks and made them gold. Punk has only had the straight edge gimmick which appearently was awesome in the indies and is now only passable as a face in WWE. Also there is the fact that Booker's legacy is already cemented. He will be remembered as he has won more titles than everyone but Lawler, and one of the few legitamate black maineventers. Punk, for the time being is a fluke World Heavyweight Champion that "out popped" DX. He is some sort of indy legend, but then again so is Jerry Lynn, and no one cares about him now. So besides flavor of the month, I have no idea how Punk is beating Booker T. |
