Ninti the Mad 12-17-2003 04:54 PM

I dunno what it's called.

All I know is that that is the tentative release date.

It better be similar to the first album.

You mean Slipknot, not MFKR, right? Slipknot is one the best albums made, too bad IOWA didn't get even close, although it wasn't a bad album either.

Obviously. I dont count MFKR with new Slipknot since it was a different era in Slipknot history.

Neither do I, but I wasn't sure if you were a nitpicker or not.

It was pretty much a different band and they played funk-metal

Joeleosis 12-17-2003 08:24 PM

asphyxy is still right. MFKR is still Slipknot's first album, even if the line-up and style changed. Songs from MFKR were redone on both of the following albums as well, I think that's plenty incentive to recognize the first album.

The name remained, founding band members remained, songs remained... a change in style doesn't mean previous material doesn't count. If that was the case, then NIN exists in several different forms, considering all the line-up and sound changes, even within a single album.

asphyXy 12-17-2003 08:32 PM

Napalm Death has none of its original members, and their style changed from grind/noise to structured death metal. Same band.

Silent 12-17-2003 09:42 PM

MFKR is my favorite Slipknot album, by far. The s/t is alright too.

Sickboy 12-18-2003 02:49 PM

Corey doesn't count MFKR as a Slipknot album.

He's also an egomaniac. It's his self-centered feelings that have put Slipknot in a rut in the first place. I love his vocals, love his lyrics.. but the guy needs to wake the **** up and smell the roses. Slipknot existed without him in the past, it's possible to do so in the future.

And as I fuc</>king hate slipknot, will I like it?

Ninti the Mad 12-19-2003 10:07 AM

Download their most popular song off that album. Slipknot - Do nothing bitchslap

At least to me.

Sickboy 12-19-2003 12:41 PM

Confessions is my favourite song of the album

Sickboy 12-19-2003 12:46 PM

Btw, what is Colsefni (the ex-vocalist) doing nowadays? Is he in some band called Head, or Face or something like that? I can't remember. He was a good singer so I was wondering if he has done some stuff that can be found in Soulseek.

Sickboy 12-19-2003 12:48 PM

Oh, is it just me or does the intro in Arch Enemy's Leader of the Rats (best song of the album :y: ) sound similar to some Slipknot song intro? Like Despise or Liberate?

everyhourdylan 01-03-2004 03:53 PM

dont care
