Flair just pulled a Foley and returned to the match.

They probably lost more money than they made in the end. |
I'm closing this thread until we get the network in Australia, because fuck you guys.
Right now I'm watching Hockey highlights.

Tazz is not very good on the show either. He constantly gets cut off. Speaking of terrible things... Rob Bartlett being a Raw commentator is so much worse than I remember, and I remember it being pretty bad. Savage is so much worse than I remember too, but its Macho so its all good. |
Best panel has been JR, DDP, Piper, Hayes. The most non-PC panel and it got the most out of their topic.
Flair is god awful on those.
Flair is unnecessarily mean in those.
The problem is Taz is that, for the most part, he's pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Taz being in ECW and not really being apart of anything huge or significant leaves him having little to say or contribute. On the newer ones, Pat Patterson seems a bit out of touch. Just sort of rambles on. Bret being on there is interesting. Not into himself as much as I though he'd be. Had a feeling he'd be like Flair, and bury everyone not in the horsemen or Evolution.
I usually enjoy Taz on them but yeah, if he wasn't involved in whatever the discussion is about or knows someone involved he just lets the others talk over him.
Just watched the Countdown for the biggest blunders. Really put me out of the bad mood I was in from a headache.
Watching Bret/Owen WrestleMania Rewind now. |
Finally saw the Legends Roundtable: Hardcore.
The Monday Night Wars one was uncomfortable to watch at times. Michael Hayes just goes after Bischoff. Bischoff has the greatest deflections:
"It may have happened, it was a long time ago". |
I LOVE the roundtables about the 80's stars. The Iron Shiek/Andre the Giant one is probably my favourite roundtable ever. The stories thatHayes and Patterson tell about Shiek was amazing.
Just got done watching Backlash 1999, unreal to imagine that it was Owen Hart's last PPV match, decent PPV though, I enjoyed it.
4/4 new legends Roundtable from WrestleMania Axxess.
currently watching a WWE Legends roundtable on the 70's.
so cool to see the great Nick Bockwinkel on the panel with Michael Hayes, Pat Patterson, JJ Dillon & Gene Okerlund. |
Poor Nick. Heard he has dementia.
Watching the Raw right before WM18. Hogan just crashed a semi into an ambulance that the Rock was in.
The WWE was just fucking amazing then. Wrestlemania 17 and 18 was just unreal.

Wow, the build up to HHH vs Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 18 was awful.
lol. I seriously forget that match even happened sometimes.
That and HHH-Orton might be the most forgettable WrestleMania main events ever. For slightly different reasons. |
HHH vs Booker T says hello as well.
At least they were smart enough to keep that one from actually closing out the show. If we're counting just title matches/matches that were billed as a main event despite not closing out the show, Triple H vs Booker probably is #1.
My God. Outside of The Undertaker, who is a sure thing to put on a great WrestleMania match with anyone nowadays, Triple H's WrestleMania track record is fucking abysmal. |
Miz/Cena say yo
I think Miz vs Cena was slightly more memorable than HHH vs Booker, HHH vs Orton and HHH vs Jericho simply because The Rock was involved.
Hogan vs Sid is probably a contender too but that has the handicap of having happened 22 years ago. |

Haven't had much time to make a dent in my chronological order viewing, but have made it through Starrcade '83, 84 and Wrestlemania 1. Next up is The Wrestling Classic followed by Starrcade '85.
Really digging the 80's stuff, surprisingly. I have the Manias on DVD up through 14, but it's been a while since I've seen them. Really looking forward to the Summerslams, Rumbles, Survivor Series I haven't seen and a lot of the In Your House stuff, and most everything with the NWA/WCW stuff on the horizon. Good and bad. I know these Legends of Wrestling on the Network are a few years old but they're new to me and they're great. Hope they make new ones soon. |
I've been watching the Rasslemanias alternating consecutive odd nums (the correct way to watch Rasslin')--right now I'm on Rasslemania 11
Watching Roundtable with Nash with the topic being outdoor events, and fuck me Nash is breathing directly into the mic.
The Blunders Countdown show is phenomenal. Cesaro has me cracking up reading lines from Scott Steiner promos HAHAHAHA

Best Countdown so far. The best part of the Network is being able to show my young boys the wrestling I grew up watching. Tonight I'll be showing them Royal Rumble 92. Does anybody know if it's the edited 'Cheers for Hogan' version or will I hear the boos he got for being a hypocritical knob?
WWE Countdown.
 the Blunders episode. |
