The Menagerie

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/1Ux95IeJwkI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

So it's been a few weeks, what are people's thoughts, opinions, remarks, ideas on TNA's The Menagerie? For those who don't know, it's a stable consisting of Knux (turns out Mike Knox is a biker, turned wrestler, turned carnival owner), Rebel (at first I thought she was his sister, but turns out to be his rekindled love interest.... then again it's a carnival from the South so maybe both :naughty:), Crazzy Steve (clown who honks a horn to communicate and is soo crazy he needs two Zs in his name) and The Freak (it's pretty obvious..... it's Braden Walker in the Shredder mask from the 90s TMNT movies) plus, two unknown people on stilts being paid to loom around ringside while the theme music continues to play during the match

As much slack as I give it, I don't hate the gimmick of "The Menagerie". TNA is trying to do something somewhat different, and I like that it is soo "over the top" character and presentation wise (the lights and music keep going throughout the match). It's good that they're putting some effort into developing Knux into something more than a generic "big man" (which can also be said about The Freak)

I'm not convinced that Crazzy Steve is actually a wrestler. I think he's a homeless guy who happened to sneak into Dixie's office, perhaps to take a shit in a potted plant. Security runs into him just as Dixie sees him. They refer to him as the local transient that people call 'Crazzy Steve,' and Dixie, thinking it's his wrestling name, hires him.

Rebel has a nice ass, that's pretty much where my interest ended. That theme song is terrible btw.

zero interest.

Well that was a letdown of an NSFW tag!

I concur

I like them, personally. Crazzy Steve is oddly entertaining. Rebel has a rockin' ass. The theme song is actually kinda awesome, I think. The only person that really doesn't seem to "fit" right now is Knux himself, but that could come in time. They haven't done anything to piss me off yet. I love their chemistry with The BroMans. Thumbs up so far. :y:

Dixie will end up taking over them.

Kinda sad Kizarny isn't involved in this.

Big Rob Terry as "The Freak"....I dunno...His first run's only real highlight was hanging with Robbie E...Just not sold on his being back for this. The rest of the group is alright, tho loving "Crazzy Steve" as an on air persona. They need to teach the guy how to wrestle tho.

Mike Knox is fantastic

I received hell for putting up something similar and not having the tag awhile ago.

the time that the girl was like "Not Crazzy Steve, he's CRAZY" is the funniest thing in the history of mankind

Too much effort just to get one wrestler over. (Not including Rob Terry)

Rob.... I guess I kind of an "affinity" for him. Alittle "behind the curtain" story, I worked a match and both myself and Rob Terry were on opposing teams in an elimination match. Titan and Big Rob didn't have much interaction in the match but what stuck me as "odd" was that when we were going over the match, he pretty much kept quiet and listened/ followed the guys who have 20+ years experience in the ring. He knows that even though he could have called the match (I've worked with guys who have played the," who are you? I'm on TV, your not, your point is invalid") he showed a lot of respect by letting them call the match and following their lead.

Hanso Amore 07-15-2014 11:47 AM

He couldn't call a match if he wanted

He probably could, it's one of those things you learn while training to be a wrestler. Plus, he's been in TNA for years so I'm sure someone taught him. For what he is, he's not that bad. He's suppose to be 300 lbs of intimidating muscle, that throws grown men around like they were children.... and in that aspect he does that pretty well.

Hanso Amore 07-15-2014 11:34 PM

Im ball busting. But you said it. Hes a mongoloid death machine anad I doubt hes had a good chance to call matches. And even then he wouldnt know what to do.

But its goo to hear hes not one of THOSE GUYS. Like you said he could big time you and play the TV card. If he is a nice guy doing what he can with what his ability is that makes a big difference in how I perceive him.
