Great game

Spurs missing 4 straight free throws got them good
I have no words for how amazingly well this series is played. Those four free throws were big.
Hard to "blame" Parker on his, though. I'd have trouble shooting too after that elbow.
Derek Fisher is coaching the Knicks.
Really? Jeff Van Gundy, Mark Jackson, or Phil himself weren't interested? Got a bad feeling about this. |
It worked for New Brooklyn
But Kidd had Nets history. Which made some sense.
Don't know how or when Derek Fisher woke up one morning and said, "I wanna coach". There were better candidates out there. |
Well, Point Guards are literally assistant coaches. There is very relevant experience in playing 20 years as a point guard and transitioning into a head coaching role.
mark jackson doesn't want to leave the west coast
both of the van gundys would meltdown in NY derek fisher is going to just be the mouthpiece for phil jackson not a bad deal |
I think it's impossible to play offense better then the Spurs did in the 1st Quarter.
Neither team is playing any real defense. This is weird for the Finals.
Spurs lookin good.
gives it to the man
Spurs can't miss. I don't love Popovich THIS much
Has Miami Thrice been diced?
This seems like LeBron vs Spurs.
Spurs have been flawless.
I think Lebron has to score 50 tonight for the Heat to win.
I don't think that's happening. |
Lebron is not even looking to score anymore. This game is over.
Tomorrow's headlines will be about Lebron giving up.
Which will only be kind of true. I think he's tapped out, and has nothing left in the tank and Miami has no one who can back him up. Dwyane Wade is just another guy now. |
Krimzon7's Kawai Leonard jersey is in the mail
Dominating performance by the Spurs. Fantastic.
Spurs were amazing. Never expected the Heat to be that manhandled on both sides of the ball this series.
Now the endless speculation on where LeBron will go begins.
Back to the Cavs.

Just looking at the stats of every game and it was working as a team that led the Spurs to the championship. On the Heat side, like Ruien said, it was LeBron vs the Spurs.

The Spurs came in with a chip on their shoulders as well...after last year, letting the championship slip by them, you know they wanted to go hard the entire series. They drubbed the Heat.

NBA 2014 Offseason Thread
Carmelo Anthony opting out of his final year with the Knicks to be a free agent this offseason. Bulls are the current frontrunners for him.
Melo officially opts out
He officially opted out this morning.
Joel Embiid going down was big for the Sixers. They were slated to get Andrew Wiggins, but it's all up in the air now.
Melo was always going to opt out. My only hope is that Melo and whatever team he picks will be willing to work a sign-and-trade so Melo can get closer to his max deal and the Knicks can get some sort of draft compensation.
Lebron will opt out of his remaining years in Miami and will become a free agent, per ESPN.
LeBron is the 1st of the "Big 3" to flinch and opts out of his deal with Miami.
The Decision 2: Decide Harder
Might as well keep the NBA/NHL Season/Offseason threads the same I think... just NBA 2013-2014 Thread. Just merged them
Possible Carmelo and Lebron team up? I haven't heard anything but since they are both opting out it seems like a possibility.
All depends who got the cap room.
