BREAKING NEWS: BROCK LESNAR CONFIRMS DEPARTURE ON ESPN SPORTSCENTER!

Yea mention in a couple threads he would be on sportscenter but I wasn't expecting that.
Hell of a interview, even got Coach in on the fun.
That was awesome. I'm actually pumped about Mania after that. Now unpredictable Main Event to say the least.
been saying for a while I thought he would and that if he did, the best bet for them now is Brock over at Mania but giving Reigns a shit load and making him look like the man. I stand by zissss

I don't know I watched it on sportscenter. Might be able to find it on ESPNs website
Fuck yes. Best booked featured player in years. Love it. The main event is officially the most intriguing match on the card. Before just for the crowd reaction, now got the finish.
CSL has it right, though. Putting Lesnar over but making Reigns look like the fucking man is the right call. |
Found it!

This sucks
quiet you
Lol @ Drake
So then he basically has to retain right.. how can he work on a limited schedule without holding the title
Let Brock keep the belt, let Brock keep the belt. PLEASE!
What a lovely birthday present Lesnar just gave me.
As far working a limited schedule without carrying the strap, a double turn with Lesnar being decimated and put on the shelf, only to return for revenge later is not an unrealistic scenario. |
He was working a limited schedule without the title before. I REALLY hope this means he's retaining but I'm hesitant to expect it. WWE seems pretty dead set on Reigns being their guy and if they're gonna do it, putting him over is the thing to do. Unless they plan on a Rock-Cena situation where they have him lose and then take a year to try to get the fans on his side before possibly putting him over Lesnar next year.
It being WrestleMania, they've gotta try to end it in either a "feel good" way or a huge moment. Unless Reigns vs Lesnar doesn't go on last, I'm not sure how they accomplish that with Lesnar going over. |
No wonder Hunter is trying to legitimize the United States and Intercontinental titles.

Well fuck
I'm so fucking pumped about this. I know the majority here is against Brock, and his limited appearances, but it hasn't bothered me as much as I thought it would. While it sucks we don't see the belt all the time, and it's not defended at every PPV, you know when Brock shows up, it's fucking business time, and shit is going to go down. And I never thought I'd say this, but I hope they haven't changed his schedule too much if they keep the title on him. If they do strip him, I want to see him around more though, as back-to-front as that may seem.
Yeah, pretty excited about this news too.
I was predicting this amongst my friends. I too am pumped that Lesnar is staying. I think he should remain the WWE Champ, or turn baby as Heyman takes the title away by screwing him and going with Reigns. But, hopefully he retains and Bryan and Cena could elevate the secondary titles to main event in Brock's absence.
Brock will never split from Heyman unless he gets another manager.
I was for the idea of Heyman turning on him and aligning with Reigns but as long as Lesnar is staying, Heyman should be with him.
He did okay without Heyman last time, but having Paul as his mouthpiece is good.
Vince with the offer he couldn't refuse :eek:brock did look happy and I'm glad hes staying around .he loves wrestling and wrestling is better with him in it

I kind of enjoy having the WWE Title "gone". When it is there it seems like a "big deal", and it not being there forced them to actually be creative with their main events and book feuds and stuff outside the belt....
It's like before the mid-90's during the Hogan era when he was a "special attraction" champion and not just constantly on all the shows. Makes the title more over, makes the champion more over, and makes the secondary title (ideally) a bigger deal. I love it.
That being said, they will eventually need to put the belt back onto full time guys.
Cutting Raw back an hour is a start.
They can still work it the same way though. Not to the same extent but... you can have a guy wrestle at live events and in dark matches while only showing up on TV to hype up PPV matches.
Whoooooooooooo....but.
No need for a title change. So, there is probably going to be a title change. |
He needs to work a tad bit more often, but not by much. Obviously you have him work the Rumble, Mania and Summer Slam. But working one or two more big events wouldn't hurt. I love that at the current moment in time, the top tier title is a big deal attraction. Means something to see it. Though once Lesnar eventually drops it, I'm not sure how that could work since your next champ is likely a full time guy.
:y: Lesnar's staying.
Quote:
Plus in WWE he gets massive paychecks to stand around and stare while Paul Heyman talks.
And Lo our Savior Brock proclaimed that for the right price and fun he would not abandon and taketh he the title into WM 31 to suplex the fuck out of Roman Reigns he hath proclaimed it and thus it became gospel.
AMEN. |
Quote:
Maybe they let Lesnar win and then go on to break CM Punk's record because they don't want CM Punk to have the "longest reigning champion of the modern era" claim anymore.
Awesome news to begin the day with! Lesnar is a special attraction, and having the title on him legitimises it in a way that hasn't been done in a REALLY long time.
Really intrigued by what's going to happen at Mania. With The Rock harping on about facing Brock, maybe we see a run-in to help his baby cousin? Maybe Rollins cashes in? Maybe Reigns wins clean? Or, maybe, Lesnar decimates Reigns. And remains the reigning, and defending WWE World Heavyweight Champion. All bow down to the beast, the conqueror, BROCK LESNAR. |
This thread is now about the greatest moments of our Lord and Savior of the Suplex.

I know Lesnar is heel in kayfabe, but if he won, would people really boo? Fans are still pretty behind Lesnar cuz he's a destruction machine. I don't think Reigns has to win cuz Mania has to end on a high note. He wins cuz Vince is stubborn.

Great news.
It will be interesting to see how Mania will now finish. |

This has gotten a ton of coverage. I was just on google news and it came up as one of the top sports stories. Its weird to see WWE mentioned in the sports section like any other league.
Quote:
So did he sign a normal contract, or this limited-appearance crap again? If he's back full-time that'd be super rad
I assume same as before. He mentioned in the interview about getting full time pay for limited schedule.
hm. Oh well, it seems to be working out well enough
Can't wait to see Summerslam 2.0 when he absolutely squashes Reigns now |
It's sucks cuz I want him in ufc not wwe
3 hours for raw is good for me. Branching out time for new superstars, divas etc. and for promos/ main events. Use your heads

Can't imagine anything beats Raw on a weekly basis for USA. I imagine the same would be said if they dropped another .5 or even 1.0.
It doesn't help that the actual good original programming they have is mired in god-awful scheduling. How does Suits always have 6 episode "half-seasons" ? Fucking awful.
Quote:
So I wonder what the crowd reaction will be now since he's locked in.
They will still boo the piss outta Reigns.
The hatred for Reigns being shoved down throats + Lesnar being a wrecking machine > any positive reaction Reigns can muster at this poi(n)t. Narf. |
Case in point:
They even fucking boo'd The Rock when he came out to "save" Reigns. The Rock's facial expression said it all. http://www.worldofwrestling.it/admin...0alla%20RR.jpg |
I remember Rock being cheered until he went to raise Reign's hand.

Imagine how much of a pop would have Rock received if he came in and gave a Rock Bottom to Reigns. Would have been massive.
How many days until Brock breaks CM Punk streak? Does it match up with any PPV?
Think it's around Summer Slam or NOC.
Quote:
To tie October 26, 2015, and 27th to win. Hell in a Cell will be the 25th. The last day before tying Punk if he keeps it that long. |
Quote:
Yeah, Punk's birthday is the 26th.
So he can claim WWE planned all along to try to ruin his birthday. |
Irony. Lol
Lance Storm picking Rollins to cash in during the title match instead of after. I don't mind the Rollins idea but it seems more of a "night after Mania" thing instead of during the Mania main event. They like their grandiose endings, I can see Reigns having "slayed the beast", the confetti, the rah rah etc, I can see Lesnar also surrounded in confetti, "took to the limit but the most dominant athlete in history is still the man" etc, "Reigns' time will come" etc. I just don't see Rollins doing his sneaky heel schtick being the way they go off the air.
I agree. It'd be an out of the box ending for a Mania, though it could make it pretty memorable.
oh for sure, who knows. That's the best part. The only thing that bugs me is that Brock/Reigns could have an 8 star match and tear the fucking place down but if Reigns goes over, there is still going to be a section of fucking space cadets that try and boo him out of the stadium. That stuff usually gets drowned out at Mania tho so it should be fine.
Quote:
nah, just straight up inserts himself into the match during the match
I.e. triple threat match. If they decide to finally cash in the mitb case at Mania, I'd rather it be after the match.
For CSL, even if it's a great match, is it that wrong that fans may want a Lesnar winner? If you're talking about a group of muties just trying to be cool I get it but if the majority of the house is pulling for Lesnar a Barrett barrage of boos may be a likely scenario. |
Seems like a ridiculous way to cash in MITB after all this time. Just insert yourself into a legit match against two guys after you've already had a match, too.
Also, fuck Seth Rollins as champion. |
Seth Rollins would make a great heel champion. He has done a great job to cement himself as the top heel on WWE television.
He's one of those generic guys with a minor personality that everyone on the internet wants over-pushed because of his rasslin' skills. Going from a larger-than-life monster like Lesnar as champ to Seth Rollins would be a downer. He's ROH world champion material. Not WWE.

Supposedly UFC was trying to get Lesnar to change his mind as late as his car ride to ESPN. Kept sweetening the offer for him but he wouldn't budge.

Makes me wonder what just the hell Vince is paying Brock in this new deal...
Handies.
If I had the choice of making massive amounts of money to stand around and stare while someone else talked and making massive amounts of money to train like a madman to be locked in a cage and get punched in the face.... I would take the first one.

Three years, three million per year
Interesting... I wonder if the storyline changes now. I think Lesnar will either retain or there will be a double turn.
Quote:
If Reigns wins, Rollins should cash in so they can move forward with that angle (which will obviously involve Brock). Triple threat @ Summer Slam if they go that route, most likely. |
